Cosign this shyt

I'm listening to this nikka talk about Nike and it completely went over they heads.

Him saying that people are a slave to brands, and then saying that he NEEDED the Adidas backing just to CHECK Nike..

:ohhh:
So if ppl are slaves to brands then why does he want to work for a brand? Why does he want to own slaves? Why isn't he telling ppl they're fools for spending so much money on clothes if he gives a shyt about his ppl? Why isn't he on a slave revolt like Nat Tur.....ahh forget it. nikkas is going to Stan this nikka regardless of my facts and logic.

i seriously dont get why kanye is complaining. he has enough bread and resources to launch whatever venture he wants

Breh, industries rely on one another for success *you just can't walk into a store and buy plutonium*

Think about how big McDonald's is...they could have made their own ketchup but they did business with Heinz for years. Once Heinz started doing business with Burger King, McDonald's didn't like it and dropped them. There are more than likely many within that industry that do not want him in because they know he can do damage, if not he would be in and the world can watch him fall flat on his face. All these factories, fashion designers, owners of quality raw materials, print magazine, all work together to control the market. That is how you get your product out there and get it promoted, If Kanye was trying to create a T-shirt line then I can understand your thinking, but he is trying to do a high end fashion line. That is what he is fighting against. They created the fashion Frankenstein called Yeezy, by letting him in too deep in the industry. Although, I am not a fan of his style...he is one of the few hip hop artists that has a true passion for high end fashion.

He's not trying to work FOR a brand, he's trying to use the brand to make it work for him.

He was saying that Nike was limiting his artistic vision when he had more Yeezy's to put out, so he signed with Adidas who are desperate to put them out since Nike has basically been kicking their ass for decades

He's looking for a brand to use for a higher platform than what he could on his own. A Kanye brand with no backing would only be local to the united states.. and "Urban" like they try to make it seem. Nike/ Adidas, LV, etc. is worldwide... and could lead to even higher end fashion.

He's trying to actually become a billionaire through the fashion industry, something he seems just as passionate about as music

And why tell them to stop spending money on clothes? You think they gonna listen? You think thats gonna stop these Brands from getting any less money? Telling them to stop spending money on clothes isn't gonna help anyone. Actually using these corporations as a platform and a way to let more black creators in the door could help everyone

This interview is just :snoop:

I get what Kanye is trying to say and he has a good point, but he's horrible at articulating himself. Every time he is asked a question he just dances completely around it. The message he is trying to get across is sullied further by his ego getting in the way of his points. He truly believes he is much deeper than he actually is.

If what he wants is to be accepted by these white folks for his creativity, he is going down the wrong path. Since they don't want you, do it on your own. Building a superpower black-owned label will take TIME.

Charlamagne just trolling now...

I understood everything this nikka is saying. A lot of his anger comes from the lack of respect and racism he perceived from these corporations.. or black people have received period. Im starting to think the whole "Beyonce/Taylor Swift" thing was him thinking thee picked that video over Beyonce's was racist

And Charlamagne is like "fukk the corporations man" but these corporations are the same ones that are feeding BIG MONEY into other corporations that practice the same kind of greed, hate, and racism. They want Kanye to make just music and Kanye is looking past music...

But good luck with that nikka, sounds like a tough task :salute:

A Jew doesn't get mad at another Jew for trying to be a billionaire. We need to stop with this crab in a bucket mentality. Its good that a black man aspires to own and control more than he already has. Especially when he is not trying to acquire it through illegal means. Ownership and royalties is everything. Royal families across Europe still collect millions and billions of dollars for business ventures they did with elite movers and shakers in various industries. I'm sure there is some unemployed nikka that hates the nikka making $30k because he aspires to make six figures.

I also think they missing the point with him trying to do things within these big corporations instead of forming his own, smaller, mom/pop type brands.

Thats why he's not trying to go the Roca Wear or the Sean John route.. this nikka trying to take over a portion of those privately owned fashion companies, not just be a part of fashion. It's not about money as much as it is about kicking down LV, Nike, etc doors and letting him in.

Rocawear and Sean John were HUGE successes but mainly to the black community. He's trying to be a black man with huge successes within anyone's community. He wants a wealthy white woman to look at a piece of clothing from a brand he sponsored and pay $5000 for it instead of it being vice versa for us... They're the ones making bread and thats why we're slaves to Brands

why would these billion dollar companies just let him kick down their doors and let him in tho??? What has he done to the he deserves that???

Please answer these questions

He was all over the place but blacks won't be respected until we build wealth. Once that occurs then we'll break down barriers thus Kanye's point. Why not use those cacs like they use us to get ahead? It is the American way. That's all it is. Those cacs are scared of Kanye popping off and getting into billionaire convos because the world will have to listen or he can influence in our favor.

Breh, they used him to promote their line. He was cool with all these cats over there. Dude was being invited to these exclusive shows and siting next to them. These designers are nothing but a name and they hire a team that puts all the fly shyt together. Did you not listen to Kanye or are you too busy listening to that troll Charlemagne?

Bada bing..bada boom. For some reason, many blacks prefer to be consumers rather than producers and wonder why we are in the predicament we are in.

He hasn't done shyt... YET

Thats his point. He's not even getting the opportunity to do so because they want to control him like a regular fashion designer or artist.. A black one at that. Which is why he's trying to "maneuver in a room full of vultures" by signing with Adidas, getting these brand backings and etc
