i understand what he's saying. what i would argue is that Nike doesn't owe it to him. it's their money and they can do what they want with it. you want to deal with them, they set their terms, you set your terms and there will either be a compromise somewhere and someone will lose more OR there will simply be no deal. you may say, "well they go their money from the people, we gave them power they owe us!". They don't owe us shyt breh. the sooner we realize this, the sooner we'll be free. I feel what Kanye is doing on some level. trying to wake up people. But getting mad at Nike is not the way IMO. As Don Corleone would say "you gotta make them an offer they can't refuse..."

First off,...
These crackas do owe us reparations, nikka.
Especially since they gave reparations to Asians in Hawaii.

So stop the bullshyt,...
Hawaii is one of the most expensive place because America gave reparations.

i don't believe in the concept of owing. you can spend your whole life waiting for something they owe you. but why would they give it to you? what's gonna happen if they don't? See you gotta figure out a way to apply pressure so that giving you what you are owed is their best option which is what i meant when i said "offer they can't refuse". Or else you're gonna wait a longtime for something that's owed to you.

Kayne is being himself.. When your a celebrity holding 50+ page threads in thecoli you have to be transparent and be yourself all the time.. Why change.. fukk these

What I'm getting from all this is that he's using social media as a platform to rant and make noise worldwide(America isn't the only country people).. Jay z did it with manga carter and he's doing it by being himself and not hiding things in these interviews.. It's what he does best.. You think he's not making calculated decisions? He is using social media to broaden his brand.. Stop being so sensitive.. Your on a message board right now .. Think outside the box.. Social media is everything.. We are at page 50 something right now.. He knows exactly what he's doing.. He has a plan..

I hope so.... believe you me as a fan of his music (apart from that last piece of garbage) and as a black man I want him to succeed ..... but the way he is going about it....smh..... If he were my friend, brother, son, whatever I would tell him that he definitely could be handling his problems in a much better manner

Part of being a good businessman is brand development. He started as a producer, then got signed to Roc a Fella. He then developed his brand as an artists when few game him a chance. From there he built his brand globally and flipped that into his own imprint which has been a success. He got several major endorsement deals. For you to say he's not a good businessman is inaccurate. As far as the clothing line goes 3 things.

1. Ye learned that its not all about the money. Where he's trying to take his brand goes beyond money. He learned that in order to gain access to certain networks, he needs help. As a rapper trying to develop a high end clothing brand, its never been done before. All rapper clothing lines are essentially put in a box and given limited access. There are boundaries.

2. Ye is upset that he's not being taken seriously even when he designed something as successful as The Air Yeezy.

3. At the end of the day no matter how many great ideas he has, no matter how big he is as an international rapper, no matter how much he's crossed over and no matter who his wife his, He's just another ****** to billionaires with power and could care less.

you make some salient points firstly...... If I were an investor I would ask myself....

1. he successfully designed sneakers...... is this the same target audience as the people who buy high end designer clothing?.... while there are exceptions to every rule in most cases no..... so selling yeezyz is irrelevant and could even be seen as counter productive because it doesnt lend an air of exclusivity which is the basis of high fashion

2. most people could design a shoe, what sold Yeezys was his name just like Dres name selling Beats...... when I go to my tailor to get a suit made, I choose the fabric, the colour , how many vents, the size and design of the lapels, the fit...etc.... this doesnt make me a fukking designer lol.... so the fact that he designed a pair of shoes is unimpressive ( i say this to make a point,I am not saying that he has no talent as a designer)

your last point..... one thing I learned from my fraud days is the one thing business people respect is the ability to generate money, I was dealing with a lot of hasidic jews and middle eastern Arabs, the only reason they fukked with me and me with them was that we could make each other money....

The reason why I make that point is this.... do you think Hollywood respects Tyler Perry as a filmaker?... do you think they respect his craft?.... hell no

The reason why hollywood gave him that deal was because they respect his ability to make money...... dude set up independently made a ton of money and hollywood came running

Jay z couldnt get a record deal to save his life, he set up Rocafella with Dame and years later hes running the label that turned him down, do you think they gave him that position because he was their favoutite rapper or because of his track record in making money?

If Kanye wants to be taken seriously by those billionaires then rather than throwing tantrums his time would be better spent trying to establish himself without their help.....trust me If he becomes successful or proves to be a cash cow those same billionaires will come running ..... Thats how business works

mothafukka does he own the store

pretty much man. you hit the nail.

At school I'm one of literally only 3 or 4 black males in my faculty (Commerce). In my pursuit of a career in Investment Banking I've recognized some of these same things. Is it possibly all in my head? Certainly. Is it something I can use as an excuse? Certainly not. But to act like the wall isnt there is to be ignorant. I've heard successful black traders and bankers say the same.

I be trying to tell one of my female homies this types of shyt but you cant even explain it when they ask questions. Its EXTREMELY DEEP and COMPLICATED and Ye actually did as good a job that you can. You have to just experience it yourself to get it. You really do.

If you had knowledge of self.
It would not be hard to explain.
Yet, since you guys have empowered these culture stealers.
The ability through hiphop to learn how to articulate yourself on these issues was lost.

when folks is making BILLIONS I don't know if they'll come running unless his designs are so great hes a threat. They might let him work for them in some capacity but I don't see how that will stop this whole slave idea he's talking. Same thing could happen that happened with Nike and them tshirts where he has no control of the pricing or the release dates. They still have all the control and allow him access to the connections they want him to have.

I don't get his idea you need to have BILLIONS anyway,i know he's already worth hundreds of millions so his standard of wealth has probably grown. But we need more black people worth hundreds of thousands, and millions:laff:...or just able to have a nice savings in the bank...COLLECTIVLEY that's what you wanna see. telling people we need a black billionaire to save us all like batman is I wont say dishonest, But its him putting a burden on himself that's rare to reach and unnescesary if his goal is to truly help the community as a whole.

Dude is creative and I think he could open a store that probably has a unique atmosphere like his stage shows,he can incorporate his music or himself to give a unique shopping experience. we don't have the connections and aint born into empires, gotta start from scratch unfortunately. The success he's achieved so far cant be downplayed for those very reasons. But its weird he don't see it that way when he had to learn the same thing with his music. Produced some hot beats and classic records for rocafella and thought he deserved to have his solo album put out. Hov looked at em like:scusthov: and he went and got himself hot and turned himself to a superstar.

Him making limited yeezys and selling them to crazy azz sneaker heads,or setting trends as a rapper is equivelant to making some hot beats and classic records on Rocafella. You back at the getting the :scusthov: look from Jay again, what you gon do about it:heh:

He just need to go sit somewhere and think this shyt out,hes not making himself look all that good to other business people im guessing....imagine this nikka on Shark Tank.

Damon from Fubu-"What have you done to ask us for so much money?"

Kanye-sold 1000 Yeezys under nike,100$ t shirts,my girls and icon,plus my vision is crazy,im Steve Jobs,Malcolm X,Michaelangelo:youngsabo:"

Damon from Fubu-":ohhh: interesting...how much of your own money have you spent so far?"

Kanye-"13 million:yeshrug:"

Damon from Fubu-":leon:...im out"

Kanye-"Mark Cuban?"

Cuban-":skip:"

Cuban would probably go in and tell him hes a horrible business man,and should quit or some shyt:russ:

:dead: @ Black Batman..

This whole" if Kanye makes a billion we all win as Black people" narrative is laughable....No Kanye, Kim and North win.. He said point blank he doesnt care about nothing but God and family...

You're right.. 1 million blacks with $100,000 is a much better sign of progress than one with 1 billion...

lol....if you think thats psychoanalysis then I feel embarrassed for you..........everything I said about him in the post he has said about himself, he has admitted that he is insecure and has a huge ego....

The problem with people like you is you have no idea how business really works, as an artist I doff my cap to him, hes a legend, nuff props....

as a businessman he sucks and the fact that all he can take from the failure of his entry into the fashion world is that it was purely down to racism tells me why he sucks...

The fact that he lost $13m tells me he has no business running a business

The fact that he doesnt have a plan B tells me he has no business running a business

lol at him being eccentric ....hes a spoilt brat who was seeking acceptance and is pissed because he was rejected....

I couldnt write 8 bars or produce a record to save my life...... but while Kanye was studying art I was studying business... and I have NEVER lost money on any venture Ive been involved in....

you like your idol Kanye have no idea how business really works

Didn't read your whole post but ill say I'm more successful in art and business than you. I've been in galleries around the world and have had projects done on me. Business wise I do pretty well for myself.

You're on the outside looking and and you just come off as an insecure hater. Dont worry Kanye brings this out in a lot of people, you're no different.

i love him as an artist but he gotta chill with how he's acting

"michael jackson couldn't get his video played because he was urban" he said that shyt in 6 different interviews
