Charlemagne was missing the point ENTIRELY. I was just :snoop: when he kept parroting that "f these corporations". Martin Luther King, Malcolm X shyt. MLK and X were fighting an ENTIRELY different battle, this shyt it is a WAR that's far from over. What MLK and X did can't be applied today because there's a new frontier. What they were fighting for was our right to just get INTO the building. Now we're in the building but we're lost don't necessarily know how to navigate it. Kanye's arguing for us to OWN the building....you can't do that with the "f these corporations mentality". Some ppl may argue, how about we create our own buildings. Why does Kanye need Nike, why doesn't he do it himself. But you're dealing with infrastructures that have been established for a looong time(when he speaking on manufacturing, oil) while we were still fighting to get in. We gotta close that gap.
i understand what he's saying. what i would argue is that Nike doesn't owe it to him. it's their money and they can do what they want with it. you want to deal with them, they set their terms, you set your terms and there will either be a compromise somewhere and someone will lose more OR there will simply be no deal. you may say, "well they go their money from the people, we gave them power they owe us!". They don't owe us shyt breh. the sooner we realize this, the sooner we'll be free. I feel what Kanye is doing on some level. trying to wake up people. But getting mad at Nike is not the way IMO. As Don Corleone would say "you gotta make them an offer they can't refuse..."

Exactly... Ye' made it CLEAR he wants to be on some next level shyt.... nikkas telling him to be happy you got paid and, sell your clothes out of random department stores. :heh:

Char, talking all that shyt, and he's the main nikka always talking about "I can't wait to sell out" gtfoh.

I agree.. MLK was a socialist....Malcolm was a Black nationalist...Kanye is trying to promote winning at Capitalism...His mission is totally at odds with both of theirs...He's not a revolutionary..He's a slave (his own words) that wants to be a master and own his own slaves...

Great interview. I agree that Ye tends to ramble but as far as the gist of what he's saying, I completely understand it. He wants to become something more than just a rapper and I don't blame him. Also, I'm sure you would be frustrated too if you came up with some great ideas, only for people to tell you that while they do like your idea, they want to keep the money to themselves.

The problem with you morons who are saying that "Kanye doesnt say it clear enough"

The nikka CANT say it clear enough. What the fukk you want him to say? "fukk WHITE PEOPLE?" , the guy has to hide the message in the tangents. You forget that he still has to live and work in WHITE AMERICA. Half of his fans are WHITE AMERICA. shyt his girlfriends family is WHITE AMERICA. There was a point in the interview where he kept on saying "US" but he caught himself and covered himself up. If you c00ns cant catch on to what he is talking about. You are about as dense and ignorant as that country bama Charlamgne. Talm bout.

"Bu bu bu we dont CAAAARE about your rich nikka problems, just rap" :snoop:

nikka sounds like a damn sambo :wow:

The only thing that made sense was his Nike rant.

If Nike can pay Moses Malone and Mychal Thompson royalties for AF1s, then they can pay this homo royalties

Kanye isn't really good at verbalizing what he actually means. He can't give you a complete, coherent, lucid statement about what he means. You pretty much have to piece it together from his ramblings, but once you do, you get his point. Some of his points aren't really smart, some he does have a point

Charlamagne did a good job of not letting Kanye get away with rambling off topic too much and not (somewhat) addressing the question being asked
perfect analysis.

kanye knows what he's trying to say...but charlamagne really held his feet to the fire.

Great interview though I don't think it will change the opinion of anybody who already loves or hates Kanye. I kind of wanted more sparring between Charlamagne and Ye though. Also wtf happened to Angela Yee, besides talking about the concert she was mia during that interview.
