the average head on here knew it was dropping. but lets take an average person. my wife didn't know it was dropping, for instance.

It's true he didn't have a traditional single but the album was still promoted

Don't forget he had that huge interview with New York Times, the biggest newspaper in the world

KanYe is clearly doing this to try and get his old fans back. As I said in my "Yeezus" review. "Bound 2" he threw us a bone. He saw the criticism he got from the Hip Hop community. Sure all the magazines and publications was calling 'Yeezus" groundbreaking Classic and who knows maybe Hip Hop will forgive it down the road. But those Magazines don't define Hip Hop culture.

Hip Hop told Ye' "Yeezus was only OK" which is why this will be his lowest selling album of his career. Not only did Hip Hop fans pretty much reject but even the Pop fans didn't grab hold. It went Gold so Ye still does have a core fanbase that will stay with him but both "New Slaves" and "Black Skinheads" didn't really pop off though I liked those songs but they weren't great. Again we liked some songs but most of the songs were weak. But "Bound 2" was vintage Ye'. I could of easily been on "College Dropout" or "Late Registration".

nikka shut up. New Slaves had you fakkits going crazy. And every muh fukker who listens to hip hop knows every line from that shyt.

nah fukk record sales. YEEZUS is a classic album give a fukk what YOU or "hip hop" thinks.

If you feel it's a Personal Classic your entitled to that opinion but it's only been out for 2 months so I don't see it just yet, it takes time for something to truly become a classic. I definitely think he will get that album of the year nomination he's been wanting cause the critics did like the album. But just look at Hip Hop forums and sites across the net. As well as social media The album got a lukewarm response.

Where as "Fantasy" got critical and public love. "Cruel Summer, 808's and Yeezus" are the Ye albums people seem to be mixed on where as his 1st 3 albums and MBDTF get the most praise. "Watch The Throne" also gets praise but not Classic status praise. So when I say "Hip Hop" I'm talking about the public. I'm aware people liked the album. Shoot there was aspects I liked myself.

No "New Slaves" went hard it's the rest of the album that's hit or miss. I mean it's 10 songs so room for error was very low when you have an album that short. I would say 5 songs were good to great and 5 songs were average to bad.

think he should've went with 'blood on the leaves' or 'hold my liquor', they're better songs....think he went with bound 2 cause it reminds people of his old shyt...and as much as people say they dont want the same shyt, once people like something, that's all they want...especially rap fans....

as for the cats talking about this might lead to new music from ye, I agree...if you read the interviews from the producers, they said he recorded exactly 20 tracks and that the other 10 sound more like his old shyt....so it wouldn't surprise me if another ye album drops later this year, 'yeezus 2: the resurrection', and it sounds more like his older stuff...

Its a shockingly nice album, its overwhelming, it attacks the senses, its disturbing, it reminds me of listening to Nirvana, being in awe and yet feeling some type of way afterwards. Its like listening to 'The man who sold the world' unplugged, an experience.

...although he should be shot for the basura lyrics, 'blood on the leaves' with Trayvon Martin lyrics and most of yall would be in a fetal position...also Daft Punk carried that album.
