Kanye Wests best album is Late Registration. He simply sold out after that.

Graduation was a good album...what are the wack tracks on that? :what:

And MBDTF was drop as hell save for Ross verse that had nothing to do with the song

Drunk and Hot Girls was wack. Barry Bonds was :ehh:. I was not a fan of either of their verses, but it was still a good album. But it was the beginning of Kanye giving up on any semblance of lyricism. Dude averages 1 good verse a year now and 98% of his bars are just random mutterings.

Aight Drunk and Hot Girls was ehhh but Barry Bonds was dope, its one of the few Wayne verses I like and it didn't even make sense.

All Ye's souful "consciousness and content" got thrown out the window after his mom died..after 808's with Dark Twisted the ignorant souled out Kanye was born.

Why are you up to date on his catalog if he sold out over 5 years ago?

Because he's still selling good product. Think of him like a weed dealer that used to grow a strain that appealed to you and a very specific audience with you, it was piff and I had the :ahh: face after every listen of CD and LR. Think of Graduation as him changing his fertiliser so the piff changes. I had the :gladbron: face at first but looking back on it the old shyt was better. 808s was crack so I gave him the :snooze: when he rang me and MBDTF was a different strain altogether that still smoked nicely. :manny:

Late registration was his best album. It doesn't get the attention because it wasn't a game changer like his other albums

I mean 808's overall was moist and soggy but look at how that album changed the game man:dwillhuh:

Are we gonna just sit here and act like T-Pain didn't change the game with auto tune? Kanye bit that off him.

:snoop: Kanyes game changing moment was those glasses in the Stronger video but after that he really started feeling himself on a different level fashion wise. It was so demonic, friend.

It wasn't even just the autotune tho.

The whole vibe and sound of that album really influenced a lot of nikkas careers tho:lawd:

Its crazy breh:wow: And that was his weakest album BY FAR:huhldup:

Graduation was when Kanye really crossed over to the mainstream

It's my favorite album of the last decade, and in my top 10 all-time. It was damn near perfect. Even the Brandy song, I've come not to mind. It just sounds so outta place.

SO yall tryna say Ye sold out after LR and somehow fell of lyrically? :mjpls:

"Penitentiary chances, the devil dances
And eventually answers to the call of Autumn
All of them fallin’ for the love of ballin’
Got caught with 30 rocks, the cop look like Alec Baldwin
Inter century anthems based off inner city tantrums
Based off the way we was branded
Face it, Jerome get more time than Brandon
And at the airport they check all through my bag
And tell me that it’s random
But we stay winning, this week has been a bad massage
I need a happy ending and a new beginning
And a new fitted, and some job opportunities that's lucrative
This the real world, homie, school finished
They done stole your dreams, you dunno who did it
I treat the cash the way the government treats AIDS
I won’t be satisfied til all my nikkas get it, get it?"

Alot of you mistake artistic growth with selling out :snoop: This is who kanye is..an artist..if ur not willing to accept his music as just that "music". Then ur doing it wrong.
Yall needa watch this

Collaborating with Jon Brion was genius.

Then he thougt he was Daft Punk, and went nuts.

I wouldn't say that he sold out.. He just stopped living the Black experience so was no longer able to accurately represent it in his art....

Songs like Family Business and Roses are hard to be recreated when you're in Rome and Milan surrounded by wealthy homosexual white men...

The memories that spawned "Drive Slow" or "Space Ships" are too far away in his mental rear view window for him to gain inspiration from...
