feels like I've seen this question so many times (a hazard of time spent on ktt, hush tho)

always felt there was just more of Ye's soul in his earlier albums--a more rounded impression of him, rather than the stylised singular aspects he indulged to make later albums.

Late Registration.

Yeezus easy.
Then dark fantasy.

Yeezus is sonically like nothing we ever heard.
And his bars are dope as fukk.
Perfect length.
Yeezus is a classic.

College dropout struggle bars kills it for me.

Someone who agrees with me. Kanye is more than a rap artist. He pushes hip hop to Mars and back. Every album he progresses musically and sonically. Thats why i loved yeezus. Listen to I'm in it, black skinhead, new slaves. What other rappers are pushing boundaries while dropping gems.

Yeezus is in my top 5 rap albums. Lol.
Literally every phase of black music is incorporated into one sound.
Sometimes multiple eras/sounds in one song...

Jazz. 80s rnb. Rock. Rap. Soul. Billie holiday to the gap band. Lol. Bruh its so amazing it mind blowing.

And i personally think future and lupe are the best rappers alive lol. Just to show you im not on no stan shyt... Yeezus is just great

Lol I'm one of the few people who think Lupe is probably the greatest lyricist ever. For real. No other artist writes albums like tetsuo and youth or songs like theme music to a drivebye or American terrorist.

I've been a future fan since streets are calling. Gone to the moon is my probate and favorite future song still.

It's tough because they're all so different. It's like they were all by different artists.

Graduation is the most underrated for sure.

808 is good but it's clearly the worst. All of them are 9/10 or better for me except 808.

If you put a gun to my head and said you can only ever listen to 1 of them ever again which one I'd probably go with MBDTF.

Forum nikkas only hate on that one because white people love it. If you actually listen to it, it's great.

College Dropout and Late Registration are decidedly more "black" then the others. Makes sense because he was still relatively on the come up back then.

Yeezus is terrific, like nothing else we have, the subject matter isn't always as interesting though.

Late Reg for sure

I'm
Ahead of my time, sometimes years out
So the powers that be won't let me get my ideas out
And that make me want to get my advance out
And move to Oklahoma and just live at my Aunt's house
Yeah, I romance the thought of leavin' it all behind
Kanye step away from the limelight, like, when I was on the grind
In the "One, Nine, Nine, Nine"
Before, model chicks was bendin' over or
Dealerships asked me Benz or Rover, man
If I could just get one beat on Hova
We could get up off this cheap-ass sofa
What the summer of the Chi got to offer an 18 year old
Sell drugs or get a job, you gotta play gyro
My dog worked at Taco Bell, hooked us up plural-fied
A week later the manager count the churros
Sometimes I can't believe it when I look up in the mirror
How we out in Europe, spendin' Euros
They claim you never know what you got 'til it's gone
I know I got it, I don't know what y'all on
I'ma open up a store for aspiring MC's
Won't sell 'em no dream, but the inspiration is free
But if they ever flip sides like Anakin
You'll sell everything includin' the mannequin
They got a new bytch now you Jennifer Aniston
Hold on I'll handle it, don't start panickin', stay calm
Shorty's at the door cause they need more
Inspiration for they life, they souls, and they songs
They said sorry Mr. West is gone

:wow:
