When I first heard this it gave me hope that anything could be done or accomplished, it was in my opinion just as powerful as Dr. King's I have a Dream speech.

I can retell Ye's whole come-up story damn near word for word from listening to this so many times :russ:

I've prolly spun this 100+ times from start to finish since CD dropped, classic shyt

I used to listen to the full song every day on the way home from school. Made the bus ride go by fast.

Say what you like about Kanye but the man's hunger and desire to succeed is inspirational.

Do you know what the best part about this whole song is?

He knew he had made it. This was the last song on his FIRST album. He had not sold a single record. It's a victory song about something that had not fully transpired yet. That's belief. He was talking about Jesus Walks as a Grammy award winning hit before it had actually happened. I'm going to stunt on everyone that doubted now. On some "if these nikkas give me a deal and put this album out. It's a wrap."

Some really does give me chills when I listen to it.

"I'd like to propose a toast ... I said toast, motherfukka!"

No lie, this song is why I don't give a fukk when I tell people Kanye is one of my favorite people ... not artist, but PEOPLE, and they get all screwface. That drive, determination, constant pushing to get to his dream has to be respected. Not to mention the verses on the song were perfect for what he was trying to convey.

Cosign the bolded a million times over. Til this day that spaceship song still gives me chills because it's exactly how I felt at the time working at Target. That was my motivation, determination, and grind for the longest. I even had the username of maybach of a couple of the forums I used to visit back in the day.

Y'all don't know my struggle
Y'all can't match my hustle
You can't catch my hustle
You can't fathom my love dude
Lock yourself in a room doing 5 beats a day for 3 summers
That's a Different World like Cree Summer's
I deserve to do these numbers
"The kid that made that deserves that Maybach!"
So many records in my basement
I'm just waiting on my spaceship
