I love when posters type "I've lost respect" for someone, like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar gives two shyts that some kid that calls himself "Kermit da hustla" doesn't "respect" him.that column was fairly c00nish. saying they should play for the fans? most of whom are cacs who don't even like their black asses? saying that she should go to jail for an "illegal" tape, when it's already been established that he knew he was being taped? saying that this is just about some "80 year old man jealous of his girlfriend" instead of what it's really about: a racist cac echoing the sentiments of 99% of white america about the black men they consider entertainment.
i've lost a lot of respect for kareem, whom i once enjoyed reading. he's a very talented writer, in addition to being a hall of fame bball legend. but this column is bullshyt. it's cowardly. it avoids the issues and the broader social ramifications of what sterling - and white america, as a whole - feels about black people.
