:what:Nobody with any credibility or in their right mind considers him center. He also played with David Robinson for 6 years who we would undoubtedly consider a center right? Then he also played alongside other centers rasho nesterovic and nazr Mohammed who are also widely considered centers as well right? Tim didn't start playing center until late in his career. Look at the rosters.

So two centers never played side by side with each other?

Never heard Ralph Sampson and Hakeem Olajuwon in the 1980s Rockets teams? :dahell:

I disagree on both fronts but having a better career by not having to be relied on as much...is different than being a better player.
Yeah they're basically saying that because he didn't have to do as much and he was on consistently good teams with a great coach that he's had a better career???

I guess on paper, but we all know Kobe shyts on him as far as a player. Tim is great and all, but this dude is like the 3rd or 4th option especially this year.

He's not a power forward, he's a center. He played that position cause he knew he'd have an advantage over all the PFs, and that he wouldnt have NEAR the advantage if he decided to play his natural position at center. Also, he knew he wouldn't even be in the discussion as a Top 10 center cause he knew his career would fall short comparing himself to Bill Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Olajuwan, Shaq, etc

Right, i'm sure TD was thinking this :rudy: :camby:

And what is Kobe being the first option since their last title gotten the Lakers? NOT A DAMN THING right? :mjpls:

That was for 3-4 years and it was clearly defined that Tim was the 4. You trying to change his position to suit your argument that he only played pf because he had an advantage. If that ain't the silliest way to hate on a great player I seen all week. But eh..:heh:

People always mention "oh he had Pop" well tell me who Pop was before TD got to SA. Or they'll use "well he's been playing along side TP and Manu"...as if one wasn't a late round 1st rounder and another was almost undrafted.

You trying to blame Kobe for terrible coaching, clown ass players like Dwight, incompetent FO, and injuries:what:

No one gives a fukk about Tim Duncan like that and nobody is calling him "The Michael Jordan of our generation"...

In fact, nikka is so overlooked that he'll probably retire this offseason, they'll be like a week of appreciation, and then no one would care because he's only been playing like 2/5 a season for the past 3-4 years anyway...

Only on Th-Th-TheColi do I hear all this Duncan > Bryant talk.

This nikka Kareem just said Duncan has had the better CAREER because he's had to do LESS... :childplease:

So basically Kobe can't elevate the play of his teammates and can only win with already established players and coaches right?

By that logic Duncan rode Parker for his 4th ring and both Kawhi and Parker for his 5th so we should discredit those last 2 rings, Kobe would have those same 2 rings in Duncan's spot if he had Parker and Kawhi and would have another one this year wit Aldridge.

You Kobe haters/Duncan stans want to take away his first 3 rings yet Kobe was always the 1st or 2nd best player on the team while Duncan was the 3rd best player on his team for that last ring he won and he's currently the 4th best player on his team, but yall gonna ignore that yet we all know if Kobe won a ring as the 3rd best player yall would be downtalkin him and if he was the 4th best player we'd constantly have threads on here bringin it up.

You understand if you do the ring subtraction BS that Duncan still has more

nikka won with this

You telling me he can't elevate his teammates... Like he's done before?

Only 2 of those players are still in the league and relevant aside from Kobe... TWO.

Tim Duncan still playing with the same nikkas and coaches for like the past 10 years... FOH:camby:
