Still don't understand how he and Cesaro became close friends considering their complete opposite attitudes to training. He's pretty tight with Punk and Bryan too isn't he? With that amount of pull I'm suprised he didn't get a break.

Never thought much of him but he's more enjoyable to watch than 75% of the current roster so it's a shame to lose him.

one of my friends who did have a developmental contract but decided he didn't want to wrestle anymore said they had issues with Chris Hero's not being in the best shape...he personally left because they switched the person in charge of developmental ... I was really rooting for the guy but it must be brutal with the figuring out how to get over and what politics to follow and the right way to shake somebodies hand...it didn't help that he was black so he probably felt like he had to go extra hard just because of that to get pushed

Joey Mercury still has job with the company tho, he trains people down in NXT. Even then I doubt how much that has to do with Punk.

I didn't say he got him hired or anything, I'm pointing out a known friend of punk that still with company and has been for years in a backstage/developmental role.

Mercury was let go back in 2006 due to personal problems. He was rehired years later to be in Punk Straight Edge stable an has worked there ever since in various roles.
