Yeah did pass it to Eddie Murphy while he was still relatively healthy and coherent. However, he also mentioned Dave Chappelle before he passed as being next in line. So Eddie Murphy and Dave Chappelle are the two comedians that he officially anointed.

I STILL have a huge problem with black men questioning the sexuality/manhood of other black men without proof. The reason I say this is because i REFUSE to believe that all of these brothers are out here selling their asses for the POSSIBILITY of fame. We've seen first hand Hollywood try to "make" stars out of people and they crash and burn. The industry is too damn fickle for it to be a safe bet that trading your manhood is going to pay off. Kevin Hart worked his ass off, and whether or not you find him funny is one thing, but to say that he truly hasn't connected with an audience based off timing, talent, and shrewd business sense is disengenous and borders on hating. NOBODY knew that Laugh At My Pain was going to blow up the way it did, but honestly that shyt was FUNNY in my opinion, and it CONNECTED. I remember being on an Army base in Korea when it dropped and within 48 hours EVERYONE was quoting lines from that shyt.
Also nobody knew that Think Like A Man was going to blow up like it did, that flick was a star making turn for him, not in the Oscar-caliber teir of course, but as a draw for the black market. These accomplishments were natural, and then he took them and ran with it. There's nothing to be ashamed about and CERTAINLY nothing c00nish about it, plus dude took his homies from the hood and created a production company with them, just like Lebron. He's got BLACK MEN EATING and thriving on the BUSINESS side of the industry. Isn't this what we complain about when we talk about needing more writers and producers in Hollywood? Kevin is helping to supply that.
And if we're going to give Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor passes on their BLATANT Homosexual transgressions and give them all the credit under their talents, then why wouldn't we do the same for Kevin, whose NEVER so far been publicly involved with any faq shyt?

To be fair, Kevin and Katt ( along with many other black comedians who got in the 2000's) both brought alot of black folks along for the ride and got them paydays they never would've gotten without their help.
At this point, it's not even about Kevin Hart... it's about micro aggressions that people have and Kevin just happens to be their way to get them feelings out.

Katt, who's had his fair share of arrests, assumed the position -- cops say he was on the ground with his hands behind his back ... ready to be cuffed when they arrived.
Katt was released on $5,000 bail.

He does not talk to any other group like this. He didn't tell the LGBT community to stop complaining when they were pressing him on don't ask don't tell or gay marriage. He didn't tell Latinos to stop complaining when while they are pressing him on immigration. But when we ask for our problems to be address he tells us to stop complaining.
I'm not saying he is the worse president we have ever had but let's not act like he been better than any other President we ever had when it comes to race. What can you really point to? The My Brother's Keeper program which have done little to nothing? The Affordable Care Act? I can point to his repeated attempts to cut social security, and TTP. He's a typical democratic politician. When confronted by the right wing he backs down. One of the few times he mentioned Black racial profiling he backed down and invited the profiling cop to the White House for a beer summit. Not to mention his administration fired Shirley Sherrod because they were scared Glenn Beck was going talk about her. I not saying he had to be a back activist but he certainly could have been stronger on race and other issues.
