Dave spoke about some of the reasons why he left. Mainly that he didn't like the idea of celebrity and having to alter his life for fame. Anything else said is hearsay at best.
Dave is more than capable of telling his story whenever he chooses. So unless he goes into more details about what happened, or cosigns what Katt Williams had to say, it's![]()
I stopped believing anything Katt Williams says a long time ago. It makes for interesting sound bytes, but that's about it. Dave has said multiple times that he couldn't stand being super famous, and hated everything that came along with it. Even in his stand-up shows before he blew up he would talk about never wanting to get too big as a celebrity.
A lot of people get burnt out on fame, but Dave was just smart enough to walk away before he ended up like Katt Williams.

at the fact that he thinks there is no running water or roads in Africa. dat nationalism
fair enough. i can respect that pov. pretty logical.
