And when he won the Finals MVP, it was in a series that the Spurs broke all of the records for point differentials. LeBron didn't even play in the second half of Game 5. Those games were never close enough for Kawhi to make any "clutch" plays. And it's not like he got the MVP for some transcendent performance, the voters could've went another way with that MVP if they wanted to.

Funny how that idea works for some players and not for others. Must be great having lower expectations than true superstars.
The way it's looking, LeBron might outlast these younger guys; he and Kawhi, Curry, Durant, etc., may all end up declining at the same point.

Again, I have to say I'm really happy Kawhi got his ring out of the way. It's something no one can hold against him.
