lol get ready for that "Kawhi is more like MJ than Kobe" narrative it's gonna be coming out of these dumbass nikkas mouths all season. What's funny is as great as Kawhi's performance was last night, he shot 47% and took 32 shots, two things nikkas would criticize Kobe for no matter the result.

Kobe got roasted for almost 2 decades for "playing like Mike" now Kawhi apparently plays even more like MJ(:heh:), and its a good thing. :mjlol:

People just exposing themselves.

Real basketball fans see that there are pretty significant differences between them in terms of play style and physical abilities.

IMO only thing they have in common is they both use mid range game and have huge hands. You can also tell the laker and Kobe hate is strong any other player shooting 32 times for 38 points would hav been ripped on the coli.

He does remind me of 96-98 Jordan, but the thing is he doesn't have to be as fluid as 96-98 MJ or as athletic as 84-91 MJ.

He just gotta keep getting buckets at a 50% fg clip. He shot like shyt in the 2nd qtr, then went 7/9 or something ridiculous in the 4th. So even when he has a bad game, 15/32 = 47%

That's what reminds me most of Jordan tbh, the efficiency.

You think the defense people play now is so great? I'm sure I can find videos of Lebron playing that exact style of defense on Kawhi or KD.
Lebron completely ignores those 2 when they hit the court :mjlol:- i guess he believes if he acts like they are not on the court, he can save his image by keeping away from them:russ:

Kobe wasn’t trying to emulate Mike’s game
He was trying to get an Oscar playing him

His mechanics are weird to me he holds the ball so long at his peak and his shot is damn near flat. But for some reason the rim is just absorbed by his power :wow:

yeah obviously Kobe took it to the next level, but doesn't change what he did on the court :yeshrug: Plus, once Kobe got his mid/late 20s he stopped copying MJ full stop and developed some of his own swag. Kawhi like 28 right now.

Let’s keep it a band flea. Kobe is an off brand Jordan to this day...He’s just not as egregious with it nowadays

Kawhi is painfully himself. God only knows what lengths Kobe would have went to if Magic was his favorite player
