Thanks for that Captain Obvious. The problem is, folk don't know how to differentiate between the two, they think that just because Kidd is a HOF-type of player that therefore automatically it means he was this transcedent player during his prime on that simple basis. You've got folk on this board who genuinely believe he'd be the best PG in the game if he played today. That's the issue here. They overlook just how much of a detriment he was to his team's offense when he occupied the majority of the possessions.

I talk about Kidd in the proper light that he should be discussed in. No filler, no props, no bullshyt, no revisionism. I can guarentee for a fact that nobody on this board has watched (both live and on tape) and dissected more of Kidd's play like I have.
