It's the opposite really. This is a guy who legitimately guards 1-5 capable of switching onto anyone from Durant to Harden or anchoring an elite defensive small ball lineup at center, and protects the paint at a high level. He's objectively the most versatile defender in the league.

Switching is a part of defending a position. The Warriors rely on that more than probably anyteam in the league and he's the lynchpin for their sucess.
