It's the opposite really. This is a guy who legitimately guards 1-5 capable of switching onto anyone from Durant to Harden or anchoring an elite defensive small ball lineup at center, and protects the paint at a high level. He's objectively the most versatile defender in the league.

Kawhi spent more time guarding Lillard and Chris Paul in the second half of games than Draymond spent guarding point guards all year...
Matter fact...how come when Lillard hit them for 50 they didn't put Draymond on him to cool him off? It's not like Portland has some legit post threat Draymond had to guard...?
He guards them on switches every night. You don't assign him to a point guard like you do Kawhi, but you also dont assign Leonard to protect the paint or regularly guard big men. It's the fact that Green can do so much more that makes him more valuable.
