This. The whole “he should’ve stay in Toronto” is stupid. He never wanted to go there. He got sent there out of spite. I refuse to believe that was the best offer Spurs received. They just wanted to send him as far away from LA as possible. He made the most of the situation and brought a championship to the team, but everybody knew he wasn’t staying there from the jump.
people(primarily Raptors fans) need to get over that shyt.

I don't understand this "he wanted to play for the clippers" or the "he's not going anywhere cause he wanted to go home" talk...
The number one thing Kawhi and his camp wanted was the supermax from the spurs...he only asked to be traded after they said he was going to have to play out the last year of his contract...if the spurs had offered him a contract worth 200 something million dollars he would be in a spurs uniform right now...
The second thing he wanted was for the Raptors to trade all their picks and young players for a star player...but Masai said no...all this he "making moves behind the scenes" and he is some mastermind taking his destiny in his own hands is cap...the toronto raptors are the reason why kawhi isn't in toronto not the other way around...if Masai had said yes then he would be in Toronto with Paul George and whoever else they filled the roster out with after they traded the same shyt the clippers did to get paul george...
Then when he did sign with the clippers it was only for 2 years...so he could re up again in year 10 which would give him max service time and allow him to get the largest contract he could, and to threaten the clippers that if they didn't build a championship team around him aka trade all your picks all the time and go into the tax every season, then he would leave... if he REALLY wanted to be in LA like that he would have just signed a 4 year max right from the beginning, you know, like how paul george did this off season...
