Dude is a retarded son of a gun. Raptors did everything to maximize his career and his ability to play when he could play. Kept nikkas that could cover his slack in the rare moments he was off. Dude might've completely closed his relatively easy chance (and this never got the correct context that it should've) to be remembered as the best player of his generation. He had it as easy as someone could in that situation man.

"oh let me go to the second rate franchise where I actually have to play like a bona fide superstar every single game and defend Luka Doncic or we lose" :unimpressed:

He would never be remembered as the greatest player of his generation---->remember, by the time he completed that '19 run, we'd already had the LeBron 8 straight Finals runs from '11-18...

So Kawhi would never be able to overcome that without a similar display of consistent dominance...

However, I get your premise and agree with it, because EVERYTHING and everyone else of his generation was within reach. He stays in Toronto, with all the points you mentioned, he's in an instant dynasty while taking down the Warriors one, and it would quickly be forgotten that those Dubs weren't whole when he beat them, if he goes on to captain a dynasty of his own...

Fam had a chance at multiple titles in the inferior conference while resting whenever the fukk he wanted abd woulda been forgiven for routinely missing 25-30% of regular seasons because everyone woulda only cared about his postseasons. There were, and still are to some people, legitimate arguments as to whether he was a better player than KD or Steph and staying in Toronto he coulda passed their legacies in short order...

He misplayed his hand, I get he wanted to be home bit his basketball decision making wasn't great...

He should’ve just resign with the raptors. He will probably never see another finals again.

He doesn’t care. He was traded to Toronto. It’s not like he signed there and all indications are he never wanted to be there in the first place.

I get being salty about it but he was a big part of your championship, salute him and move on

Breh has 2 titles 2 fmvp and multi millionaire doubt he cares about his legacy and would rather be home. Unlike KD most of these players aren’t lames on message board/social media thinking about legacy and stuff

If Kawhi stayed on the Raptors, he would have beaten the 2020 Lakers in the Finals

Raptors without Kawhi were already a good matchup against the Lakers

That all sounds great and all.. but it’s been proven multiple times that players don’t care about shyt like that as much as fans. He already won two rings, two FMVPs, and wanted to go back home and have all the superstar perks over a franchise :manny:

You think if he’s on the Raptors they win in the bubble ?
