I was hoping a full strength Spurs would put the beats on the clippers tonight, but we will have to do without the best young player in the NBA

These two idiots Reggie and Webber are really contemplating who's the better PG between CP3 and Parker? Tony Parker is one the best scoring PGs but he ain't seeing CP3 as a floor general. CP3 with a prime Duncan/Ginobili would of won championships.

Tony Parker is better than CP3 right now and people are starting to realize it. All this "floor general" stuff is cool, but at the end of the day, the most important attribute a player can have is the ability to score efficiently in a variety of ways and not be able to stopped by the defense. Parker obviously > CP3 in that area, and Parker gets his teammates involved and puts them in position to score.

Paul is a better passer, but no team is ever going to win a title with him as their best player. A team can win it all with Parker as their best player imo. If you put Paul on the Spurs this year with Duncan and Ginobili missing all this time, the Spurs wouldn't have the record they have now. He wouldn't be able to carry the scoring load and average 27 shooting 60% over a 11 game stretch.

The only thing that Parker has over CP3 is quickness. Tony Parker was never known for setting up his teammates and putting them in a position to score. That's what CP3 does. Tony Parker was never the best player on those Spurs championship teams, and he'll never solely win one as the best player on his team. You're also severely glossing over Pop's coaching, system, and the front office's ability to draft/sign players that fit his style of basketball. You honestly think that CP3 wouldn't have won championships with a prime Duncan/Ginobili? The Spurs are a well oiled a machine that doesn't over rely on player to succeed. Where were people when Parker was putting up similar numbers in 08 and shooting over 50%? Parker is one of the best penetrators and scoring PGs in the game. He has definitely stepped his play up, obviously. But y'all forgetting how great CP3 was back in NOLA. Dude has the highest Asst/TO ratio in the league, and still has a higher PER than Parker. CP3's front court is terrible, imo. DeAndre is ineffective in the half court and can't run the pick n roll like Chandler. Blake doesn't have the versatility of a David West. Caron Butler is a streaky shooter, Chauncey is also streaky and old; Jamal Crawford is a streaky, isolation scorer. The Spurs have way more efficient weapons playing within a system with one of the best coaches in the league. What CP3 is doing for The Clippers is nothing short of a miracle.

CP3 can't stay in front of Parker for shyt, doesn't have 1/2 the J of Parker, isn't in the same league as a finisher as Parker
