If Ben comes back and everyone knows he ain't shooting. Doesnt the defense just sag and it essentially becomes 4 vs 5?
That's what I'm thinking as well.

I don't trust Nash to draw up plays where Ben cuts to the rim, and doubt that he's been in the lab working on a jumper.

But...he does add exceptional playmaking, defense and rebounding, so he has that going for him.

They would benefit from his playmaking and size to grab some rebounds and defend. Things they are sorely missing to be honest. I mean KD and Kyrie couldn't even dribble drive in the paint last night. Simmons posting up would force Celtics putting Smart on him. Basically allowing KD and Kyrie to spot up and shoot.

The Celtics aren't gonna take their best defensive player to guard fukking Ben Simmons on offense :mjlol:

Looks like some of himself was left on that court last year. Every superstar that ever got old had the last gasp

Gotta see a larger sample size to believe he's washed. Like, I wasn't there with Harden after the playoffs last year, but his total body of work this year has convinced me that he is...

I do believe Durant's body is breaking down and despite the fact that he can still be the best player in any game on any night, he hasn't played more than 55 games in 3 years now.

Aight b relax

I wouldn't go that hard on him but his premise is true. LeBron went to 3 Finals in 3 years with Kyrie, who had injury issues then...

KD has had 3 years of Kyrie and missed a full year followed by two years of probably early exits. Kyrie has never been part of high level winning aside from his 3 LeBron years...

It would allow them to get some post up plays. It makes more sense to have Simmons posting up Celtic guards then watch Kyrie just fling prayer jumpers. Hell KD had trouble even dribbling the ball.

That's a legit question but I don't think it would necessarily been true. The Cavs weren't even clicking at all for the first half of the 2016 Finals, J.R. Smith was meh and Kevin Love played like dogshyt all series.

If they ran it back then maybe Steph/Klay play better the next time, but maybe Draymond plays worse. Harrison Barnes might play better or he might not. Livingston and Barbosa low-key had great series in 2016 that they might not replicate, and Iggy was only getting older.

In order to beat the Cavs, the Warriors needed Harrison Barnes to play like the borderline all-star a lot of people thought he was, the shyt that got him signing a 4-year $100 million contact after Year 4 in the league. Not sure if he was going to do that. But the thing is, any all-star in Barnes's place could have been enough. KD only had to play as good as an all-star to take them to the title.

it went 7 games down to the last shot , the next 2 finals would have went the same way, a toss up

Now do this same breakdown with KD and Westbrook vs Bron and Westbrook.

KD has had Kyrie for 3 years, Bron had him for 3 years and won the title with Kyrie in Y2. LeBron led 3 Finals runs with a lesser version of Kyrie who is clearly better today, than he was 5-8 years ago...

KD had Russ for 8 years. Bron had him for 1. In KD's first year with Russ, 2008-09, they didn't make the playoffs. In Bron's first year with Russ, they didn't make the playoffs....

2008-09 KD/Russ is about the equivalent to 2021-22 Bron/Russ, just one duo is old and past their prime while the other duo was young and pre-prime...

What point are you trying to make?

Imagine not getting out of the first round in the East... I seem to recall y'all saying how easy it was to breeze to the Finals :mjlol:
I don’t care about y’all Stan wars bruv, I like watching everybody play and will get at all players. KD as been trash against Boston and Bron is washed cause he couldn’t even make the play in.

These Ben Simmons comments are killing me :russ:

I assume any chance of him coming back evaporated with the loss tonight but it would be must see TV if they put him out there in the next game.

How in the world are the Nets surprised at this point :mjlol:

Homie ain’t trying to get the blame put on him for the series if they lose and he plays poorly.
