Usain Bolt is the fastest man ever and he's 6'5". accoring to your logic, lighter smaller dudes should be more explosive. some dudes just have more god given athletic ability than others REGARDLESS of size. AI was one of those dudes. If he grew to 6'6", its likely he woulda kept his speed and explosiveness. the extra height and reach woulda just made him 10x more dangerous. he prolly woulda averaged 40ppg.
This is a stupid statement though and could be made with 99% of the players out there.
Larry Bird + Lebron's BODY = GOAT
Shaq + Kobe work ethic = GOAT
Javale McGee + Hakeem's footwork = GOAT
Magic + No AIDs = POSSIBLE GOAT
Pound for pound, Nate Robinson and Isaih Thomas are probably the two biggest talents in the league but p4p in basketball is stupid.
We have no idea how players will react and adjust to extra weight and size.
Hell, Kobe disliked how he moved when he was at his most swoll because it felt off to him so he slimmed down.
it's gotta make the advanced stats crowd mad.

Ask Team Kobe about it.
The same ones pining for the days when people weren't obsessed with the FG% are the same ones that were going on and on about AI's FG% back then.
Let me get this straight...discrediting a player because of how he actually played is corny but riding for a nikka and completely ignoring, glossing over, or spinning his faults 10 years later because you thought he was cool and/or you wanna shyt on current players is perfectly fine?
I was a big AI fan back in then too and I still have respect for a guy his size doing what he did. However I have matured since then and so did my understanding of the game. Having a 5'11 nikka chuck 30 shots a night is not a recipe for success. *looks forward to bu..bu...but he carried them to the Finals* Weak conference and it was a one time only deal...never sniffed another Finals. The fact that dudes who grew up idolizing him like KD and Bron completely reject his style of play says a lot.
