It should be noted that even though many of us were born after certain musical time periods....
it is quite normal for parents or other familly to play certain songs and teach that to the young...
normally

What brandy songs are mandatory for the future generations?

Ya really trying to pump brandy like if she's Aretha Franklin or Lauryn hill. She got ONE number one single, two at best I could be off...1 grammy.

All of a sudden, brandy is this beacon for future generations participating in hip hop culture???

Explains why he caping for black culture vultures. He one himself

That's hilarious. How do dominicans culture vulture? Ya mad we actually have an identity and have a culture we appreciate n love. We been a part of NYC since the 70s so we've always embraced hip hop culture and every single one of us is either black or got multiple black family members. We don't care about color. And that shyt irks every single one of you. We not caught up with race the way everybody else is

You black American right? You might be black but it doesn't change the fact you're American. Hip hop was born in America and now it's part of the world's footprint. You motherfukkers is mad you can't do anything about it. So what if Jack harlow is rapping? He was born in 1998 in a country where hip hop dominated, so now HES RAPPING. Doesn't make him a culture vulture, he grew up in this shyt

Ya can jerk each other off with daps n reps all ya want, but you're never going to stop the wave of cac rappers coming to the radio. Ya can sit here agreeing with each other n dapping each other like a bunch of bozos while the real world keeps ticking

You think Jack harlow can bust out a dominican merengue song and be popping in DR? NOPE, but he can do that shyt here in the states with Rap because it's a part of American culture

Ya here trying to play hall monitors on some racist shyt. Go eat a dikk

I'm dominican, I've said it plenty of times. explain to me how is that relevant? You going to say I'm a cac now? Dominic00n? Lol fukk outta here

It's "relevant" because you're not Black nor are you immersed in black culture, which is clearly evident by your pathetic posts trying to justify & defend why you & other non black scavengers ain't in the know. LOL

Brandy got classics....I am not even into the singy singy love shyt....and I love brandy....know some of her songs...
she has REPRESENTED for women and girls in a positive way....

I would even go so far as to say lauryn is not greater than brandy....lauryn seems to have mental issues....
you dominican so maybe in your household that wasnt a big deal....

once my blk american friends were having a convo bout young michael and bobby brown....
these were tough guys....they started dancing and singing like kids.,...
I'm looking at them like what they fukk...
they saying "you dont remember when michael/bobby did this dance"?
saying all to say maybe its a bit of a cultural thing or you didnt have a big sister or they werent blasting brandy or your age or many things....

for example I like the george michael song chameleon
my rudeboy bun battyman friends could never know that....
my son would never hear me playing that song ever or that I know it though....

I know Jody Watley and Midori are sisters :obama:

Yup! Jody Watley used to babysit one of my best friends from KC when he was younger & mentioned that she also had a sister named Michelle who was "cool" too.

Breh if hip hop has been a deep part of American culture for 3 decades. How can you truly call someone a vulture if they grew up in it? Someone please explain this to me

If white people are supposed to be restricted to hip hop than why do black artist sell and cater to that demographic?

If ya wanna just bash him because he's white then just say that, but to try to excuse it as "nah im really tight cause he's a vulture" is stupid because in his case it doesn't stand true

Be mad at post Malone, there's clear evidence of him being a vulture after his country music career didn't take off. And guess what? He's white. You get to bash him some more for extra credit :dead:

Other white boys mad.

But LOL @ post malone. I didn't know he was a country music artist hahaha
