Hes game managing well. The minute the steelers go into a 2nd half down ,he will show he isnt good
I mean, they were down going into the half just last week lol

If you watched, then you know how many flags negated perfect throws/first downs etc. It was pretty bad (for both teams).
I am not saying JH will ever be elite, but he is clearly making progress. We know that he can be dynamic and put points on the board, but the biggest questions were always:
- Can he take care of the ball?
- Can he stop taking unnecessary sacks?
I am PERFECTLY happy with keeping the training wheels on as he continues to improve on the above. In the meantime, just let your all-pro defense do its job.
thank god he can make some progress in his 4th year on a competent team like the steelers.
hes the same exact player. they had like 10 yards in the second half![]()
You seem to have a vendetta against Fields, and I will admit that I really am not that familiar with his game up until this year.
But all can tell you is that he played MUCH better than what was on the box score. He took care of the ball and did what was needed in the air and on the ground to get the W.
But to answer your first question: people are comparing the two because the Bears could have easily kept JH on the cheap.
But now they are left with a QB that does not appear to be 'generational', and the question still remains: Was it Fields or the Franchise?
It wouldve been cheap. He wouldve took 20M a year with no problem,The bears would have had to pay fields soon, now you stuck. it would not have been cheap.
Gotdamn I be knowing what I’m talking aboutThis ain’t about who’s better between Justin and Caleb. I would just rather go the route of having a stacked team vs HOPING I draft some great QB when history has shown us that the #1 pick at QB isn’t as successful as one would think. Patrick Mahomes was the 10th pick and he went to a 10-6 team that already had Tyreek Hill, Kareem Hunt, Travis Kelce, and he elevated them. Jalen Hurts went to a team that won the Super Bowl just 3 years prior and was in the playoffs the year before. Lamar Jackson got drafted to a team that went 9-7 and already a great organization with a winning culture.
In the past 20 years, 15 QBs were taken with the #1 pick. Only 3 went to the Super Bowl with the team that drafted them (Burrow, Goff and Newton). I guess you can count Eli, even though he was a draft day trade. Eli was the only one of those 4 who actually won it all. There are 8 #1 QB picks still active. Half are with the team that drafted them, and they all got drafted within the past 5 years.
TL;DR
The best QBs weren’t drafted #1. Build a team and if you need to change QBs, you can find one later.
