Wow, this happened to me last year.

I took that money plus unemployment and didn't work for like 6 months. I went and coached football, and basketball. I got laid off in June I started looking for something in December and got one job on December 16 then kept getting other offers and took another better paying job on Feb 27. Only problem is this job is square and micromanaged as hell.

Thinking about giving it up and living off my bank account and savings.

Whatever you do not quit your job. Get a lower paying job atleast before you quit, The market is nasty out there and will only get worse

Job market is still in the gutter unless you're a very talented and accomplished individual. (Ivy league grad, years of experience in the double digits)

Take the career and leave the money on the table for now.

Edit: Start job hunting though... its easier to find a job when you still have one.
