I'm a Mets fan/Yankee hater and have to say his rant was stupid. No one calls Jeter the greatest player but the reason he gets his hyped is because

1. He's one of the only clean stars from a tainted era
2. He was the last "winner" in baseball

I used to watch as many yankee games as mets games in the late 90s rooting against the yankees and couldn't believe how clutch dude was. We always see the same few highlights like the flip, the home run against diamond backs, or the diving play in the stands against Boston. But those highlights don't even begin to illustrate how many clutch moments he'd have through a regular season throughout his prime or in division and lcs's. I always said he was the closest thing to Jordan in the sport not because he dominated offensively like Jordan but cuz of his knack for the big moment. Plus to play 18 seasons in New York and never fukk up despite dating bad ass models
