Jeter had no reason to move to 3B. It was his team, and he already had 4 rings at that point.

ARod then went on to become one of the GOATs at 3B too. :blessed:

I laugh any time baseball writers act like they would even think about taking Honus Wagner over Jeter. Come on now.

I really like that baseball is the only sport that respects tradition, and hasn't thrown out their past, but let's be reasonable here. :pachaha:

And it really sucks he broke his ankle in 2012. If he was healthy in 2013, he'd probably be 3rd all time in hits right now.

he is right tho...jeter is overrated and its not his fault

its the NYC media hype

had he played in KC he would be like a Craig Biggio type of player in the history books

If Jeter won 5 rings in KC, and had the same numbers, he would be a God, and more beloved by writers.

Yea he did :mjlol:

Nomar had a couple great years years but fell off hard

tejeda had a very very good 5 year run but Jeter's had better season overall

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol: more power?

Tejada has a higher SLG and Nomar's SLG is nearly 90 points higher.

jeter had 3 20+hr seasons in his career tejada had 8 and nomar had 7. tejada had 4 over 30 and nomar had 2. jeter had 0. tejada has more career hrs in 3000 less plate appearances. nomar has only 31 less hrs in 6400 less plate appearances. :russ:

it can be argued that jeter never had a better season than either of nomar or tejadas best seasons either.

tejada: .311 34 hrs 150 RBIs (playing 162 games on an average orioles team) or his 2001 MVP season of .308 34 hrs 131 RBIs

nomar: take your pick of 98/99/00

98: .323 35 hrs 122 RBIs
99: .357 27 hrs 104 RBIs (batting champ, only 39 SOs) OPS over 1.000
00: .372 21 hrs 96 RBIs (batting champ, only 50 SOs) OPS over 1.000

You selectively picking seasons :mjlol:

1. i noted career slugging and hrs in far less plate appearances
2. i selected seasons because you said jeter has had better seasons overall. the 5 seasons i specifically pointed out can all be argued as better than jeter's best season

jeter had a far better career than both, is a legend and a great hitter. but trying to say he had more power than those other shortstops is absurd. stop it. and going into fielding ability is a wash at best

props to jeter finishing his career in grand style. walk off single was better than the perfect script

im done here
