i'm also confused as to why it never dropped here, she dropped young, fresh and new and then they just abandoned the project

I think the best combo of artists with Neptunes ever, NERD (euro version) aside, was the Clipse, kelis, Timberlake, and snoop . They completely turned snoops career around. I'd also add TI to that list too but he used them less than he could've imo.

Shooting Stars is legit one of the best songs ever…that beat is nuts.

It blows my mind Wanderland got shelved in the US….just like The Clipse Exclusive Audio Footage which was a dope album as well smh.

I love the Neptunes and N*E*R*D in general. Pharrell’s solo work i don’t like as much but In Search Of…, Fly Or Die and Seeing Sounds stays in rotation.

It didn't drop in the U.S. because the single did better overseas. The Neptunes were never that great with newer artists. Imagine your entire album is produced by The Neptunes and you see their productions consistently topping the charts and then this one flops.

kelis was ahead of her time...i think she influnced alot of female artist..but for some reason people talk about her like she is trash

This is so true b/c if you think about it back in the day the R&B chics had a specific look and sound (Destiny's Child, Mariah, Monica, Brandy, Faith, Chante Moore, 702...). Kelis broke that with her debut and her single in 99. I think the label heads were confused and didn't know how to market her. I mean chics are just now starting to jack her look from back then. She low key created a lane that most were afraid to follow and didn't get picked until years later. Now most of these chics trying to follow in her footsteps but can barely make a good album let alone 3 great to damn good albums like she did. And most importantly she could actually sing.
