Empire strikes back
no, it says more about how balanced the eagles offense was and how good shady is, not about how effective traditional idea is.No one in here saying they're smashmouth is traditional, quite the contrary breh. The fact that the Eagles had the leading rusher in the league with the majority of defenses playing nickel coverages says more about how effective the "traditional" idea of smashmouth football is.
last time I checked a 'traditional' power run team won the superbowl in a laugher and the only team to give them a challenge was also 'traditional'
eagles are still not a run-first offense, and yes its finesse because majority of runs are made from personnel that is usually made from 3WR sets and are going against dbs
obviously youre gonna get good results from running against defensive backs. the problem is getting the DBs to respect your passing. contrary to what the OP article seems to imply, the defenses respected the eagles passing and had to respect it with those multi WR sets.
Who was outchea saying he get's doubled? His deep threat presence keeps safties from moving to the box and helping out vs the run. Nobody said Djax was some type of Megatron type dude you gotta double.

. Nothing to do with the QB.
