I'm unfamiliar with this guy. Why is this a big deal?
You should watch it, a lot is explained about his work. It's a lot to explain.

But here's a few cliffs I can think of: biggest pan-African activist fighting today. His work helped in educating and mobilizing the African youth about Western neocolonialism. Contributed to put back the topic of the CFA Franc on the international scene as well as French imperialism in Africa.

Started in France as a member of Nation of Islam there, was sent in jail twice by Sarkozy and Holland because depicted by the Western media as a Black supremacist. Went to Senegal, became a political reporter on the TV the most followed in Francophone Western Africa where he broke down the African situation for years. Burned a CFA franc and was sent in jail then deported by the Senegalese government. Reinstalled in Benin where he pursued the fight. Tours Africa and the Caribbeans to connect and mobilize. Deported from Ivory Coast as well.

Opened non-profit businesses promoting local producers. It's plenty shyt.

The French speaking African youth like him a lot.

But like he said in the video, there's a wall separating Africans along the lines of the colonial languages. Proof is in the pudding, he's huge in French speaking Africa but you might not know about him if you evolve in anglophone spheres. That's why this link up is important.
