Kendrick Lamar sucks. Don't see what the fascination about him is.

The World, but from BK
It's their opinions, no need to debate 'em. Takeover was a very dope song to declare war, and Ether(specifically the 3rd verse) was a great response and resurrected interest in Nas's career again..and aside from Street Disciple, Nas kept it going on the up and up since.

This thread is like asking Bleek his take on the beef
Coli's Camel stans are pathetic

Huh? all i did was post a debate from 2 rappers about a legendary battle because i thought it might spark healthy discussion :mjpls:

But... we can stan doe if ya rlly want it

In reality there were actually no sonnings
Why?

Well for one it is scientifically proven Jay stans are intellectually and genetically superior, have the ability to think more and deal with matters more objectively, and are less afraid of black success than Nas stans

Lets look at things shall we
Hov released an album and has sold almost 2 mil copies of his album in 4 weeks....an album the glorifies black success, black monogamy, black fatherhood, and the importance of the black family unit
Hov got fresh black faces charting(Wale J Cole, etc)
He executive produced a black film that portrays a proper image of black beauty

While NasLost is out hea caping for pinnochio nosed white bishes
Lettin his slut and heathen of a daughter run wild
Cant keep his home in check
Cant keep his family under control
His album has been long forgotten by the general public
His album still aint go gold yet
And he's been a disgrace to the image of black success ever since

Now what stans are gettin sonned :mjpls:

Let's keep it 100% though....I like both Nas and Jay-z, however I agree with everyone that Nas won the battle but Camel won the war:

1. Nas was not in a good space, musically, before "Takeover" came out
2. Jay-z pretty much helped to resurrect Nas's career with "Takeover"
3. "Ether" was a scathing response....but
a. Nas's Summer Jam response (towrards Jay-z) was shelved :yeshrug:
b. Nas eventually signed onto Jay-z's label and they did songs together:what:

So I can't see how this benefited Nas more than Jay-z. Who knows what space Nas would be in right now if not for "Takeover." :patrice:

When takeover came out Jay seemed invincible, the roc was the empire that couldn't be conquered. It was like they were the kings if rap and everybody else was a mere peasant.

...when Nas dropped ether....it was like it was for the people, it was so pure, so righteous, so....powerful. It was like the Son of Man emerging from his slumber to slay the emperor of all things evil.
