I dont think fans take the grammys as valudation. It's more of a cherry on top of a nice year Last year most of us rooted for NaS to win. Not because we felt he needed it,but just to see him have a well deserved moment. Whether he wins one or not can't hurt his career but only add on to his accolades. Same with kendrick. This doesn't take away from his current standing in hip hop. It probably makes people root for him more. And while he doesn't need it,I'll be cheering NaS on at next years grammys:naswon:
