Strong year for rap, which has been the case for well over a decade now. It hasn't been a strong year for losers who clout chase off what twitter headlines tell them. This forum is full of dudes who hate anything with an 808 yet they're telling YOU that the absence of ATL rappers this year is hurting the genre lol. You don't even fukk with that shyt, let's be real.

Not kendrick fault if he's the only hip hop artist able to make relevant quality.

It's been like that for 15 years though.

Thats the difference between Drake and Kendrick.

Drake spams streaming services by dropping 100 songs a year...Meanwhile, the most consumed songs are all from Kendrick...despite having released no new music this year.

Kendrick is the definition of straight quality.

:russ:Bruhs were saying hiphop was dead/boring in 2023. And that the Drake vs Kendrick beef was the most exciting thing to happen in the genre in a while. Now since Drake lost and his new singles bombed. :mjcry:“Kendrick winning made the game boring” lol.

I'll post this every time on these types of threads. Rap has been deprioritized. If you're looking at the mainstream for rap, you're going to see the same faces. You have to look at lesser known artist for the diversity in rap that we had in the 2010s. There were plenty of great rap projects that dropped this year. The problem is you're all used to being spoon fed the content.

Unfortunately I feel like that Kendrick vs Drake shyt was a “last gasp” for rap.

I doubt another star come along that ever get that big again (which is bad for rap )

+Kendrick owns the 2 best selling rap songs of all time, the longest charting rap album ever, the 2nd biggest rap album of the 21st century,... (the list goes on and on)

And only released 200 songs versus 700 for his peers

King Kendrick still runs rap :wow:

The canadian releases 100 songs a year in order to manipulate streaming services.
The other guy releases 12 songs every 3 year and his music still gets more consumption :wow:
