Please nikka what makes GKMC sooo much better than anything else Foh, I don't wanna hear bullshyt about critical acclaim talk music :comeon:
First, he is a better rapper than drake, j cole, and asap rocky. second, it tells a story throughout the whole album, every song has a purpose. It really has no filler at all compared to those projects. The songs are just better than most songs on those projects, its simple. :yeshrug:. Those j cole mixtapes are dope but he is just average as fukk and tries to make the same shyt over and over again, he cant really rap as well as kendrick. Take care has so much filler and its just not that good. Live love asap is also dope as fukk and a classic mixtape but i dont see it to be as good as GKMC. Oh and GKMC was universally praised as a classic unlike those other projects, so youre in the minority. :umad:

:salute:Clicked on this thread thinking you'd be trolling heavy but I agree with everything you said, Take Care is close but TPAB & GKMC are the only legitimate classic of the new era imo

And out of all the people you mentioned, the only one who has a classic album is Kanye :yeshrug:

Au contraire, Game is the only one without.

Threads like these will continue to be made by paid internet interscope employees.
You'll never see someone in the general public, make statements like this, cause it would cost too much to make it look convincing

I don't care that it tells a story, yes it's a concept album so what that don't make it better...

Like I said J. Cole did the good kid in a mad city thing with more emotion no further proof than tracks like Can I Live and 2Face. How is he average that was his prime with wordplay and he was a top storyteller too. It's not the same shyt over and over did you listen to those tapes? :dahell:

Take Care is that good and it has only two tracks that I would classify as filler (We'll Be Fine, Make Me Proud) and the highs are dope AF it was a huge release period.

I'm not saying the album ain't good it is classic but y'all nikkas be gassing it by saying statements such as the OP. GKMC ain't that much better if at all than the top projects of the 2010's. Then again I'm from the East Coast and we don't fukk with Kendrick like that. :manny:

To early to say, let time be that judge, though I think think TPAB is a great album, and among the best of the past year.

kendrick is a little overrated but so is j cole and drake :yeshrug:. Now with take care, i dont see any of the highs touching GKMC except for the ride, over my dead body, and lord knows (that ross renegade :blessed:). Everything else is just average or just plain filler.and sales dont = classic status. If thats the case then any good album that went platinum is classic.

I could see an argument for Take Care being classic and ushering in the Toronto wave of rap/r&b. Personally I think it's a 3/5 album at best but I could at least understand an argument for it.

Hate giving new albums classic status. GKMC is probably a classic, hard to deny that it ushered in a west coast revival and is near a near perfect record (only song that's iffy is Real). TPAB is an amazing album, I won't call it classic tho. Let's wait and see.
