Kendrick Lamar basically just passed up the last shot to let Meek Mill take it instead

It makes perfect sense. When Kendrick is talking shyt on Control, he doesnt literally mean what he says. It's just friendly competition. The fact you took it serious is funny, like wrestling fans who think the wrestler actually hate each other in real life.

Of course he doesn't literally mean he wants to murder Drake, as in kill him as a human being, dumbass, but the intent behind it ("I want to break you guys down and be the undisputed king of rap") is absolutely real and you're naive to think otherwise.

Even as a K.Dot fan, the title made me :mjlol:

Sure, this could have been Kendrick's moment, but there's no proper way to shoehorn his way into this beef right now.

This is only happening because Drake didn't write his feature on Meek's album and it made Meek feel some type of way. Where do you see room for Kendrick's name in that?

Besides, he doesn't need it. Kendrick has no reason to be dissatisfied with his position in hip hop. Entering beefs strictly to gain popularity ain't the move. I say let Meek handle his own business.

Nah I dont think he wants other rappers to fail. He does wanna be king, but thats far as it goes.

If Kendrick went at him right now, the world would collectively go
J.R.+Smith+3+Point+Celebration.gif
at the situation. He wouldn't though, unless Drake felt bold and bring him up for no reason.

Kendrick called out names in control then hit him again in that bet cypher. Drake is the one who didn't want prollems.
Drake ain't even acknowledge that BET Cypher, which pretty much shut down Drake before he could

2013 was like the cold war, waiting for Russia (Drake) to pop off

When people call Drake strategic and calculated, I believe them. Cause notice how he wasted no time responding to Meek. I think he picks and chooses who to go at. Cause had he went at Kendrick, it could've quickly turned bad for him. He felt some way about Control, and that wasn't even a diss. So imagine if Kendrick actually went to the booth with a diss in mind?

Speaking of Kendrick I heard that classic man remix verse by him the other day...man he just cannot ever make a great feature..I never seen this in hip hop history...how can someone with such a good solo track record...be 0 for so many features.
i don't thinkn he's good just spittin bars/quotable shyt that people wanna hear on feature verses

his strength is his poetci storytelling. so it only makes sense he would struggle with features

he don't got that gene to flip between the two like prime wayne/jay/nas/

shyt even drake can do it :patrice:

edit: i meant Quinton :lolbron:

the only one who responded negatively to control was meek though. its almost as if he was only artist amongst them too dumb to realize it was more of a compliment. as i posted in the other thread i def. think kendrick's king kunta verse was directed toward drake. im thinking there were whispers in the industry of drake using ghostwriters even back then but only a few knew. the fact we're only now realizing is kinda amazing.
wrong

them Philly nikkas leave and breathe that battle shyt, there's that saying that you could stop any random hood philly nikka and he'd prolly have 32 bars on him just in case

After being exposed for using a ghostwriter, Drake really cant say shyt about Kendrick who not only writes his own lyrics, but also dropped the best concept album in years while Drake has struggle-ass soft-ass repetitive ghostwritten lyrics with no storytelling abilities. Drake's more popular tho :yeshrug:
