I was pleasantly surprised at how unflichingly & accurate the gospel prayer was presented on the album. :obama:

But this is far from a Christian album. Great personal story of redemption & overcoming though.

Do you listen to music or do you just skim through it?

Christ is not overall being advocated on this album friend. Even the ending shows that Kendrick plans on going on to live his life as he so chooses, just in a more positive way. He aint saying he plans on living by the tenants of Christ, just maybe not a full blown demon.

Negativity (Kayfabe)
I guess I have to give the album a spin, but, the actual HiiiPower philosophy (headed by Ab Soul--an atheist) is a bit troubling.

I was never a "Black Hippy" fan (only listened to K.Dot and a hand full of verses), so I never connected the dots. But, learning a little more about Kendrick's following of HiiiPower (I thought it was just a song), how much Ab-Soul heads it (got the vibe he was an atheist from 3 songs or so) and background on Ab-Soul's life has me rethinking what Kendrick stands for.

I can't judge this new album (I haven't heard it), but, what I learned about HiiiPower--from one person's perspective--has me observing Kendrick a little more sharply, than before.
