It's Keems fault. Kendrick was uninspired until he started making music with him more. That's why there's so many reference tracks for Keem. He's Kendricks muse

The melodic animated shyt is cool but Kendrick is a rapper's rapper. He doesn't need to do all that all the time

Agreed. On some level it's cool that Kendrick is doing Prince-like shyt where he's getting all his ideas out, including for artists he signed. But then you end up with a situation where the tracks you keep for your album and the tracks you give to Keem all have the same vibe...and that's not good.

I could be wrong, but I also think there's this underlining "I'm beyond rap" weirdo elitism creeping in and I think that's coming from Keem and Dave Free. Not just with the music but the weird fashion shyt. At least when Kanye was doing this, he was making some of the dopest music possible that fit the fashion world while also being rap shyt. We know what type of music Virgil fukked with...it wasn't this type of shyt. I'm not taking my trauma raps album to the fashion show to get props from dudes who pop pills and wear cock rings. No offense.

I hope this is just some shyt he had to get off his chest and the return will be more...Kendrick. Something more exciting, and less insular.

Facts. On point

Rich Spirit and Keems song booman sound like they were made on the same day in the same studio. But he's evolved with every album release so hopefully it'll be different next project

Or he could’ve got out of his writers block by not copying his cousins style and coming up with a interesting concept to write out.

After Mr morale dude completely fell out of my favorite rappers.

Spot on!

Instead of doing features with newer hotter artists like Drake and Jay has in the past, Keem is way of trying newer styles and make different type of music. I believe Keem is Kendrick’s project and most ideas and songs he writes waaay more than people think

Lmfao at the bolded

Man Kendrick reads the headlines and articles like we do. So of course he feels like he’s “the one”

But I wish I could vote twice cause I never liked DAMN and I’m running it now and it still doesn’t hit. Humble is a terrible and probably his worst single, DNA isn’t that good and totally ruins the concept, the concept has done been too many times and done better, the backward album was a bite and money grab.
