Ok, but I'm talking about Hip Hop specifically.

Kendrick writes his music, no? Show me this army of songwriters and musicians he uses. Surely this would've came out during the battle...

Production is a whole other component in Hip Hop. Not sure why that's being held against him?

You nikkas just be saying shyt to discredit him and it's bizarre at this point.

Kendrick is a genius as a rapper and a lyricist.

You got to look at my comment in context. I'm responding to a comment proclaiming TPAB the greatest album musically of all time, in any genre. The music aside from vocals was all written, played and produced by artists other than Kendrick, but these super stans want give Kendrick all the credit for all those people work. You notice whenever they talk TPAB, they talk how musically advanced it is, they ain't even mentioning the rapping or the lyrics. And insist they on putting him on the level of Prince as an overall musician which just ain't reality. Michael Jackson wasn't even on that level even if he stronger in certain categories.

Sorry to interrupt you, but it's been confirmed Kendrick wrote what other artists brought to TPAB. And he helped the musicians and producers for their shyt.

Terrace Martin, Sounwave, Bilal, Anna and George Clinton all talked about this.

The How Much A Dollar Cost reference track even leaked last year with Kendrick's vocals singing the Ron Isley part.

Also, even though Kendrick wrote the outro, intro, feats of his collaborators, I really don't care who did what. I really wouldn't give a fukk if Kendrick had ghostwriters...I mean, I wouldn't have the same consideration for him as a songwriter doe...but the actual music on the album would still be A1 no matter what. Kendrick was still excellent on that album, but let's say it like it is, the music stole all the shine, that shyt alone is credited for reviving jazz, specially in LA.
