I'm going to listen again, but this easily the worst of his projects. It ain't hitting for me. I don't like whatbhe did with "Made nikkaz", the homage to "One Mic" is bland, and "Use Your Heart" is one of my favorite songs, but Kendrick's use if the sample falls flat. Other songa sound in the vein of "Not Like Us". This doesn't like GKMC, TPAB, untitled, DAMN or Mr. Morale. It sounds like a teaser to a more fully realized album.

A lot of the songs sound lazy if I’m being honest. Pretty much just throwing shyt out there with generic chant hooks. He’s way better than this but his fans are in a frenzy right now so I get it

He's in heat check mode.

The basket is an ocean to him right now. Even if this isn't his most cohesive work, I can't be mad he's pulling up from halfcourt with it. You just gotta bask in the energy on these tracks cause he knows he's untouchable right now and even the shots barely grazing the rim sound good.

I like this project but I agree with this. It definitely feels like a warm-up.

Dunno about warm up but it feels like this was recorded during the beef. Similar energy, lots of west coast shyt. The unifying theme being the Makaveli shyt, with some Stillmatic era Nas energy.

Makes me think he was working on something less rap-focused and then got dragged back into aggressive shyt via the beef. I fukk with the album.
