I think jimi hendrix and Billie holiday

I was thinking Billie Holiday as well, then I read it could be John Lee Hooker and Dinah Washington. John Lee Hooker makes more sense than Jimi Hendrix though because he mentioned him dying with all his money and being the king of rhythm and blues, when Jimi was a rock artist.

Reincarnated and the Garden songs are amazing but lowkey, Peakaboo is my favorite joint off the album. My son said his favorite is TV Off and my daughter and wife favorites are Luther and Heart pt 6

Yeah after sitting with this there's not a song I skip. Most enjoyable Kendrick album but the the highs aren't at high as his previous albums.

And it could also be a smash single. That’s why I get annoyed at dudes turning into A&R’s and thinking ‘singles’ gotta be something that sells out or is for the ladies. Popular artists and especially Kendirck right now, dictate what the masses will like, not the other way around. He can drop whatever sound he wants and people will catch up. It doesn’t need to be ‘pop’. That’s why him destroying Drake is so major.

It is extremely refreshing to have an artist sit his fans and casual fans down and say no, you sit down, I’m talking here.

Luther organically could be a hit without him even making it an official single. I was out visiting some friends and I heard that song blasting from 3 different people.

To get back to the original point, Dodger Blue is the one. Kept it on repeat all morning.
