on repeat

All these corporations milking hip hop reference while simultaneously ending DEI initiatives and donating money to some racist cacs campaign will never not be scust to me.lol at McDonalds re branding their honey mustard into honey MUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTAAAARRRRRDDDDD!
AT&T calling out Canada sounds to me that bitcoin papi officially is meek mill status!
By transcending rap, I'm not saying a rap artist has to try a different genre, I'm saying the merits of his rap album will be considered outside of the hip-hop world.
Illmatic transcended rap
to pimp a butterfly transcended rap
doggystyle transcended rap
2pac albums transcended rap,
etc
Rap is and will always be a musical genre at the end of the day. Good music is good music whether it is hip hop, rock, rnb, jazz, etc. But good rapping alone is just good rapping, it doesn't really make the album good. Now, good rapping AND good music is what makes an album elite.
I’m speaking album tone and how at times Kendrick sounds scorned. Looking back I find it fascinating Nas was able to diss Jigga, reinsert himself as the KONY, make creative raps like rewind, one mic and second childhood all while sprinkling some sociopolitical commentary on a cohesive album.Nas was calling nikkas and the media out after Ether. Lets not forget the infamous Power 105 rant that started beef with Dipset, Nelly, Nore and got him temporarily banned from Hot 97.
RepIt was straight, of course people go overboard with the whole "Instant Classic" stuff, lol. It's a solid release. I like how he paid homage too. "TV Off" and "Heart part 6" should be singles. "TV Off" is basically like "Not Like Us" sibling, listen to the beat. LOL @ the "Kick in the Door" Bars. Of course every rapper knows you insert Big's bars, it will sound good. Which is why he remains one of the most sampled rappers ever. I liked the "Made Ni@@as" Pac homage flip too. It's funny Dot just introduced a whole new generation to "Kick in the Door", "Made N!@@as" and "One Mic". All of those songs are over 20 years old so yes there are young kids who missed them born in the 2000's. But from first listen, it was pretty good. Definitely a different vibe from "Mr. Morale".
I'm hearing Dec 12? but it seems super early, would be weird for him to step on these hits with a new release...or maybe it's a deluxe with songs that will be added, thats what he did with the previous album

”
Yeah added Heart part 5 as a bonus track to Moraledaylyt tweeted december 12 the day of/after gnx release
and then something about gnx updating in december 12-14
when did kendrick add songs to previous albums?
you talking about Heart Part 5

where do you rank UU?Too early to rank GNX for me although I do feel it’s better than his last album. Gotta live with it first though.
1. TPAB
2. GKMC
3. DAMN
4. S80
5. MM&TBS
I’d say he has three classics (top 3 listed). Which puts him well ahead of his contemporaries. His real peers at this point are the legends.
The thing about GNX that’s so impressive is that it’s a return to him making really good radio records and bangers. He did that on GKMC and especially DAMN but I thought he took a big step back on Mr. Morale. There are a lot of radio friendly tracks on that album but they’re kinda just…there. Especially the Summer Walker track, whereas here he knocks it out the park with SZA again.
He also keeps stacking his live set list. I can imagine 8-9 tracks from this album being done on the tour. And long term I can imagine 5 tracks sticking (Squabble Up, Luther, Hey Now, TV Off, Dodger Blue).
