When Watch the Party Die came out, haters said Kendrick flopped and "ruined his momentum". I like the song, but it's dark and contemplative and something you kinda sit with and reflect on.

I think ppl wanted more bops and bangers vibes because the energy of NLU is so damn high. He brought that energy all throughout GNX. The album is a victory lap.
