Ill speak the truth though for everyone else. Kendrick sounds like a fake ass Pac this whole album, and most of the beats either include samples of classic records (SWV) or were made to sound like old familiar songs (like One Mic, or the knock off NLU Mustard beat). He clearly ain't comfortable standing on his self-created "its just big me" pedestal on his own 2 feet after the pure trash that was Mr Morale - even despite slaughtering the Owl in the tiny hat and getting the Superbowl - so he tried damn near every cheat code possible to ensure he wouldnt completely fumble this momentum at the goalline.....


This album is microwaved chicken pot pie... mid ass comfort food


Don't worry though, that new Clipse album will be here soon to actually restore the feeling

Tell them nũggas to HURRY UP! Been waiting almost 20 years for a new album.

It was straight, of course people go overboard with the whole "Instant Classic" stuff, lol. It's a solid release. I like how he paid homage too. "TV Off" and "Heart part 6" should be singles. "TV Off" is basically like "Not Like Us" sibling, listen to the beat. LOL @ the "Kick in the Door" Bars. Of course every rapper knows you insert Big's bars, it will sound good. Which is why he remains one of the most sampled rappers ever. I liked the "Made Ni@@as" Pac homage flip too. It's funny Dot just introduced a whole new generation to "Kick in the Door", "Made N!@@as" and "One Mic". All of those songs are over 20 years old so yes there are young kids who missed them born in the 2000's. But from first listen, it was pretty good. Definitely a different vibe from "Mr. Morale".

I agree, instant classic might be a little premature. But atleast at the moment while it’s fresh, it do feel atleast like a 4 out of 5 mics to me. (I do get why people say it’s a classic tho. ) All the samples were awesome and yea it’s crazy thinking “damn people don’t even know where the heart was sampled from. He surely stands ALONE in this era.
