And this is what I'm really happy about. That he's putting the westcoast sound back in the forefront. And I don't even think this was his original plan. But after the beef, and seeing how the whole coast had his back and rallied around him. I think he knew he had to do this.

This album feels like Kendrick reciprocating the love and appreciation to the city. He probably had no idea it would come out this amazing himself. Kendrick always said he hated easy to digest beats. But he's gotta embrace his natural talents. There's not many artists in history with his song writing ability. This whole album is a song writing masterclass. And that's because he's on production that bring out all of his greatest strengths.

Now don't get it twisted. I still wanna hear dark underground boom bap Kenny too. But just find that middle ground. Never stop giving the people those mainstream slappers. That's how you keep them around for those raw organic songs with the deeper substance and messaging.
