Drake says in Toosie Slide: “If I’m moving shaky, Chubbs will do this shyt himself”

Kendrick says in Euphoria: “But let it get shaky, I’ll park your son…. let me see if Chubbs really crash something”

Oh and @Busby the rapper who plays both sides who had a Kendrick record on his album was Travis Scott
Again…no it wasn’t. :russ:

Kendrick discography is absolutely insane :wow: :wow: GOAT shyt.
It’s wild cause he’s 10+ years in the game, but with each project you can hear his ‘songwriting’ get better. Dude just be practicing. I don’t think I can think of a rap act who was in for that many years, and you can hear their ‘songwriting’ continuing to improve. OutKast the only ones I can think of.

Ima use this opportunity to once again praise Mr Morale and the time he spent using that album to refine his vocal abilities & condensing of song complexities.

Bro used GNX as an album to showcase more of his versatility in song compositions with lesser emphasis on lyrical prowess, while still showing you he can bar up on commercial songs.

Crash, pullin' up in unmarked truck just to play freeze tag
With a bone to pick like it was sea bass
So when I made it out, I made about 50K from a show
Tryna show nikkas the ropes before they hung from a rope
I'm prophetic, they only talk about it how I get it
Only good for saving face, seen the cosmetics
How many heads I gotta take to level my aesthetics?
Hurry up and get your muscle up, we out the plyometric
nikka ran up out of luck soon as I upped the highest metric
The city just made it sweet, you could die, I bet it
They mouth get full of deceit, let these cowards tell it
Walk in New Orleans with the etiquette of LA, yellin'

All of that is bars filled with witty double
Entendres, who the fukk is doing that on club records anymore?

shyt I didn’t even realize the Crash line was a double for C.R.A.S.H until last week. Bro a monster.

Facts… I been said the last verse on “tv off” is up there with best verses I’ve heard in the past 10 years. Probably an all time great when you take in the context. And it put NYers on their ass, talking that Kendrick ain’t lyrical shyt.

Also, yes, Mr. Morale was incredible from a songwriting perspective… “Rich Spirit” was brilliant.

Edit: What Kendrick has been doing is has been putting on a ‘songwriting’ masterclass without forgetting lyricism.

Brooo preach.

He’s at his Final Form. This is Jay-Z in 2003 on them S Dot Carter mixtape, when he made Beware of the Boys, etc. This is Mos Def in 1999. Kurupt in 93/94.

He’s mastered saying less while meaning more.

Been saying this since DAMN but it looks like he took what he learned from Ab, put his own spin on it, and found a way to simplify that style.

That's XXX on DAMN (especially the second verse) and Euphoria. 6:16 In LA is full blown Ab, which is why I thought it was so poetic that he was spittin' in front of Ab at the Pop Out show.
