I don't know if he really was very in-hand with the project but I really respect that he gave the opportunity and the platform to Kendrick to release the music the way he wanted to, didn't force him to do any stupid collabos, didn't rush him to make the album.

Plus, it's even better for him if he let him do his own thing without getting involved in it because he felt his own shyt was But I don't wanna believe that.
