It's just my two cents. I could go into more detail on but I'm not going to bore everyone in this thread about tastes changing as you get older. Another thread, another time.
This thread is about Kendrick Lamar dropping one of the hottest debuts in years.
Nah u should go into detail. Lol because idk how you can say GKMC is better than the documentary
whenever I listen to them. Hunger games especially because it sounds like a hip hop take on grime music, which I've never really heard before. If you've never listened to grime music before, listen to tracks like dj wonder's what riddim and you'll see what i'm getting at.

at the top of my lungs

respond if you're not gonna help

This album is incredible, y'all. More cohesive AND consistent then Section.80 to me, and I loved that album. Granted, I gotta give it some time (shyt didn't even hit shelves yet), but this gives me the feeling I had when I first heard 2001 and MMLP. Its different then anything else out and breathes new life into not only Westcoast hip hop, but hip hop in general. I don't know what people expected to hear from Kendrick. Part of the reason I ride with him in the first place is because you never really know what to expect from him. People keep comparing this to LIG, which was great because it showed a true return to form for Nas, and proved that he could still put together a great album, musically, when he's got his mind set on it. It didn't change the game though, and nobody expected it to (he already accomplished that with Illmatic). I honestly believe that this album has the potential to do that. Like I said, I gotta give it some more time but as of now, it's a solid 4.5/5 to me.
