I've noticed A LOT of kids and teenagers have turned into massive kendrick fans, like I haven't seen this many reactions from kids all over the world for another album in years...Recording your kid dancing to GNX has pretty much become a trend a this point. This is on some 2002/2003 Eminem/50 cent stuff.

It's crazy to think that 15+ years into his career, Kendrick has entered a new commercial peak and reached a brand new audience of young people that probably gonna follow him for years to come.

This 2024/2025 Kendrick run is definitely on some 2000-2002 Eminem level. It often gets compared to 96 Pac or prime 50 but pac died and 50 fell off pretty early, Eminem is a better comparison as he was indeed able to build a strong audience that almost never left him.

All these records Kendrick is breaking, he's doing it with brand new (and young) fans

Much much bigger and wider impact! Kendrick level above both in terms of peak impact. What we are seeing can’t be compared! Super Bowl, packed out the “mj” of rap, 80k plus sold out stadium tour. Nah not even them combined is touching this. You even make the argument even stronger for him. 15 years into an already solidified career. This man is unicorn status.

Yeah this is a never seen before run in hip hop, nobody has ever reached this level of popularity 15/16 years into an already superstar career.

I can only think of Beyonce but thats not hip hop.

You would think Kendrick is just starting when you see the hype, the audience, the kids stanning him, the hits,...

I kinda get the Eminem comparison cuz right now Kendrick is definitely making a lot of new hip hop listeners fall in love with the genre

But I’m going to ask you why did em make new hip hop listeners and an old vet is getting new hip hop listeners? Not a comparison at all when u critically think about it. One was a white hip hop sensation that could actually rap at an all time level the other is reminding us about CULTURE of hip hop! The essence!

My kid is almost 12 and he has a damn near encyclopedia like knowledge of Dot and his catalogue and that was before the last year's events. Can't wait to hit the concert with him next week :wow:
