You said an artists album can't be considered a classic because that artist was "never hot" I came back with the response that a classic album can come from anywhere, it doesn't necessarily have to be from a worldwide known "hot" artist, you asked for examples and I gave you some.

Can a classic come from anywhere,sure.
But most people think whatever they call classic automatically is one. It's just an opinion.
How an album performs is more factually based and holds more weight.
I could name X amount of albums as classics,they might mean nothing to you or your circle,is it automatically classic cause i say so,naw.
Documented numbers will always mean more than hearsay.
Doesnt mean numbers alone mean everything,but in most cases they mean alot.
And when i say an artist wasnt hot,i dont always mean at retail.
For example,budden allegedly got some classic tapes. but he was never that nikka even on a street buzz level.
