This is the song that made me toss this nikka straight in the bushes
Word up the first 2 minutes I was feeling it I was like
Then after that the nikka was rambling just to be rambling for the sake of it, I was like this nikka![]()

You are a big Kendrick fan though so you're not objective either. I always ask why Kendrick fans never directly address the criticisms but attack people and then just reiterate that he is this or that with no proof as if we will all accept it because you keep saying it. You can say he makes the beat music without making him the best rapper. Kanye West once made the best music but was never the best rapper. The desire to give Kendrick that is what annoys people. There is a reason why everyone thought Big Sean was talking about him without saying his name. Sean tapped onto a large sentiment that no one speaks on for fear of being called a hater. And Lupe would eat Kendrick alive but lose because the young public wouldn't let him win. This sounds twilight zone. What Kendrick has on Lupe is better production and more empathy in his rapping voice that elicits emotion. Those two things may be the most important. Storytelling is very close. But Lupe is clearly superior at everything else to such a degree that I don't understand how anyone could come to the conclusion that Kendrick could win a battle. And by swag rap Mickey means I'm that nikka type of bars in a clever way. Kendrick does not really do that. He talks shyt and may be shows some on Humble but he isn't capable of that sort of slick talk. Even Drake is better than him at that. Wale is too but no one like a him.Mickey Factz is Lupe’s homie. They have friendly rap battles via Twitter once per month.
Not saying Mickey doesn’t have credibility but he’s clearly biased. ESPECIALLY if he’s saying that Lupe outclasses K.Dot in Swag rap. That’s absolutely crazy. Kendrick swagged ALL OVER Damn. Lupe hasn’t really had any “swag” since The Cool...
Both rappers are lyrical. That’s not up for debate. Lupe is a better technical lyricist than Kendrick, Because by his own admission, he ONLY cares about that part of the craft.
Kendrick cares about it ALL. Lyrics, concepts, production. It’s a goddamn shame that Atlantic virtually destroyed Lupe’s enthusiasm for music, but that doesn’t give him right to accuse Kendrick of the cardinal sin of biting.
I know it sounds cliche but I think Lupe is hating. He can rationalize it however he wants but Kendrick really IS everything Lupe WOULD HAVE been if Chilly didn’t go to jail and if Atlantic had’ve given him creative freedom after The Cool. The Cool sold 900K with two hit singles and Atlantic told him to go pop. When the truth is that Lasers would’ve been a commercial success WITHOUT those bullshyt bubblegum tracks. I feel bad for Lupe, I truly do. And I commend him going to war with the label. But none of that shyt is on Kendrick.
Them nikkas need to settle it on wax once and for all. I wanna see that shyt for real

And don't call me lyricallmao at all these lyrical shyt, all lyrical meant back in the day is that you didn't sound retarded when he rapped lmao
a nikka use big words they would call him lyrical lmao
at the end of the day none of that shyt matters in a battle
canibus was more lyrical than LL Cool J, LL Cool beat him in the battle with a less lyrical record, smashed him
shyt don't matter, only results
kendrick got results
lupe don't, its that simple
lupe falls into that lyrical miracle category where rappers try too hard to be "lyrical" or to go over the head of the listener
Nas never had to do that, Nas was lyrical without ever being a lyrical miracle rapper
The best rappers can say A LOT IN A FEW WORDS
I shouldn't have to listen to your song 20 times to understand it fully, if somebody can't get it the first time you are not lyrical enough to convey your message
being complicated doesn't make you good, saying something complicated in a simple way is what is difficult
this is what separates rappers like jay-z and nas from the rest of hip hop
i remember some lupe stan came up to when that day dreaming song dropped talking about lupe rapping about the projects being a transformer
or some shyt, and I was like what, what are you talking about, what is he saying, at the end of the day he ain't saying shyt
Back to Nas, this is the example I give people on lyricism
I never Sleep because Sleep is the cousin of death
that is being lyrical
Its nothing complicated but he says a lot
I understand Nas is not talking about taking a goddamn nap or just empty words playing on sleep and death
I understand he means in the streets you have to be aware of your surroundings at all time or you can get caught slipping, and end it dead
either buy being setup or fukked by the cops
He conveyed all that in one bar
lupe don't got no bars like that
and mickey facts is trash on all levels of rapping
Like I said before, he's gonna hide behind the crackers at interscope and his fans and send weak one liners. I know how these hype jobs function. The same way drake went at garbage ass meek mill but avoided a real challenge
he's done songs with with Lady Gaga and U2Dudes love rewriting
Lupe let the white folks at Atlantic bully him into making garbage pop records, while K Dot refused to compromise his art. Lupe was the one that spent most of his career hiding behind his label for his failures.
nikka first of all..Before anyone comes in here calling me biased, I'm not really a fan of either guy. Lupe or Kendrick. The same shyt I'm saying about Kendrick now is what I was somewhat saying about Lupe 12 years ago. I thought he was dope and all, but the kids in college swore he was the 2nd coming of Rakim. The Kendrick bullshyt is 10x worse than the love Lupe was receiving. I've never bought an album of either guy, I will never buy an album of either guy and I don't listen to either of them on the regular so my opinion on the subject is not biased.
foh faqnikka first of all..
Who the fukk are you?
Oh right, the dude who Royce Da 5'9 said couldn't react to Buddens getting punched in the eye because his legs were all caught up in the skinny jeans 2:06 mark![]()
Bottom right. Pretended to be invisible while Buddens was getting assaulted. He didn’t even turn around...
Same way I feel. A decade ago I loved his music. The FNF mixtape series and Food & Liquor was some of the best music of that era. The Cool was one of the last albums I really anticipated.I used to be the biggest Lupe Fiasco fan. Seeing what he's become genuinely hurts my heartLupe was loved back then for the same reason Kendrick is loved now: there was soul and emotion flowing through his music. He Say She Say is literally the same verse twice but from different perspectives. Not the most lyrically dense track, no need to dig deeper than surface level, but real and relatable as hell. Yet Lupe could make a Theme Song to a Driveby and drop world class bars, triple entendres, while still making sure the music took prominence. After The Cool, all this nikka cared about was being lyrical for the sake of being lyrical. The lyrics stopped being a conduit for transcendent music and became an avenue for dude to show just how complex he could rhyme words together. I used to love deciphering Lu tracks because the songs were genuinely enjoyable to listen to in the first place. Now it's a just a case of deciphering it to show you got what the nikka was saying. I listened to Switch and Failure because they're dope songs and catching different similes, extended metaphors, and technical experimentation was icing on the cake. Now I'm playing dude's albums backwards under the light of a full moon because there's a hidden bar that only fans of Yu Yu Hakusho(subbed not dubbed) will get the reference to. I think I remember this guy hyping one of his upcoming songs by claiming how simple it would make one of his previous lyrical for the sake of being lyrical songs sound as opposed for how good the song was in general. You add to all of this his change in delivery, increasingly worsening ear for production, and altogether soulless music and it's crazy to think the guy you were listening to on the mixtapes thru The Cool is the same guy you're listening to after it.
He has a song on The Cool rapping as a fukking cheeseburger though. He went full retard after that.
