boring is such a cop out

I hate that shyt.. I feel like when dudes wanna hate but know they'll sound like a fukkin idiot by calling a lyrically superior artist anything but that, they run with "boring"

:camby:

not necessarily true
10 years ago most felt Lloyd Banks was a boring rapper although he probably was the best lyricist on Gunit

cant speak too much about Kendrick cause I really don't listen to his music but every now and then somebody gives me his latest song to listen to and I usually walk away like

I dont get the hype around him. Im just not that impressed with him at all. Most of his music is meh to me. And his voice is annoying.

Breh wtf is a Label supposed to do? Why do you nikkas spin this shyt when it's just a simple matter of promoting your artists. Yall kill me with this "industry plant" shyt and it has nothing, ZERO, NADA to do with the dope music Kendrick drop. Miss me with that hocus pocus brainwash bullshyt. Why should I give a fukk about how they are promoting their artist?

Lupe Fiasco the reason I became of fan of Kendrick Lamar in the first place.

You missed the point entirely. The only reason people like K Dot is because he was pushed by the fukking machine. :aicmon: Most people don't look for Hip Hop, they just turn on MTV Jams, log onto some hipster fuccboi fashion/sneakerhead website like Complex or listen to the radio. When K Dot was underground, you were not fukking with him. Tell me I'm lying. The radio and TV pushed Kendrick down people's throats. It got good reviews by white ass critics and he came out holding hands with Dre. That's the reason people say he's GOAT. Tons of underground rappers are just as good as K Dot. The Jacka who got killed last week was better than K Dot and had a longer career and never crossed over to the mainstream. :childplease: So-called Hip Hop heads have to be told something is dope. Can't form an opinion about music themselves for shyt. That's why Lil B's dope underground tracks still get shytted on. If Lil B never had to troll the industry with "Ellen DeGeneres" type tracks and if songs like "Myspace" by Lil B was played on MTV Jams and a major record label album of all his best serious songs were released with some big name features and he was from Oakland a few blocks away instead of Waterfront in Berkeley and he came out wearing crispy retro J's and fuccboi fashion instead of beat up Vans and thrift store clothes, y'all would be saying Lil B is GOAT. :leon:

kendrick Lamar is for west coast underground listeners with gangsta rap.based Mecca envy.
who wanted to listen to a more gangsta but neo soul canibus mixed with little Wayne and any other polished bitten offkey flow of a past relevent under the radar rapper like black thought.
he is for west coast listener heavy rap.fans who did not listen to early 90's style war based rap when gangsta rap was marketed as part of the prison economy system.
there is nuffin new to hear in lamar's music.
if you listened and know all eras of rap music.
after rap was marketed on a global scale, starting in 1992.
duke was getting ripped by Charles Hamilton and he is not really potent bar to bar at all.
plus, horrendously offkey and unconvincing unless he steals black thoughts girl song flow.
which common already jacked.
when the roots were trying to make I used to love her, their property every album since illadelph.
or, styles war based melody double time rappers like bone.
when, the industry revisited the beginning of the prison economy system marketing years.
by giving payola and favor to anyone sounding like bone twenty years later a few years ago.
while, acting like bone was not a top draw, dually as well.

Kaypain.. don't entertain this troll thread homie :dead:

don't even know why the fans care, kendrick is the most acclaimed artist of this generation, hes the ONLY new rapper who combined both commercial & critical success.

of course some people won't like him, just lik ea lot of people think MJ is boring, or tupac is trash, etc. the feeling of music is subjective, you like the music or not... but the quality of his msuc has been praised for legitimate reasons.

And I'm asking you why is that bad? Isn't that what you're supposed to do? Promote your artist and his product nikka? I'm not even gonna read the rest of your post nikka.

and if the music is still dope, why the fukk does it matter?

I think I give a fukk about a hype machine nikka, really nikka?

Kendrick is the same type of artist as Nas was in the mid 90's. The machine pushed so hard for him to be the messiah of Rap that he can't live up to the hype. Just like Nas, K Dot was co-signed by well-respected established artists. But also like Nas, K Dot finds himself clumsily trying to make radio friendly crossover tracks. They play "I" on Adult Contemporary radio for cac suburban soccer moms. :patrice:Radio stations that refused to even play rap ten years ago. :what:

And just like Nas, K Dot could fart on record and his stans would dikkride it. :comeon:

But K Dot is NOT goat. If you think that, you're probably a 90's baby who wears leather jogging pants and $600 Visvim moccasins and spends student loan cash trying to buy all the suspect clothing Kanye wears. :beli:
